Founded in 1995, Crafted Architecture is a full service architectural firm specializing in residential design. Christine was the architect for our significant renovation in Del Ray. She was great - she met with us multiple times, listened to all of our priorities, and helped us scale the appropriate size addition to make sure we had our must-haves. She helped us maximize our floor plan to eliminate wasted space and maximize storage. She gave us a floorplan with tons of natural light, and tied in the addition to our existing brick Colonial house perfectly. She also came up with some very unique ideas on layout to help us determine how to make our bathrooms as functional as possible. Highly recommend.

We were extraordinarily lucky to have found Christine Kelly. Christine is a gem. She delivered a remarkable value and went above and beyond to create a family home of our dreams. Christine's vision and competence exceeded our expectations at every level. Although our remodel is still in progress, I couldn't wait until its complete to write this review. While we hope to stay and raise our family in our new nest and not have to move, if I ever have to look for an architect, I would not even think about working with anyone else. It's been a privilege to be Christine's client. I'd like to add a personal note here too. My family moved to Ukraine last year, when construction just started, so that my little children could spend some time with expended family there. When russia brutally launched its unprovoked and unjustified attack on Ukraine, we had to evacuate. Upon our return to the US, Christine decided to support charity initiatives to help Ukrainian children, who had been affected by war. It speaks a lot about her. In addition to professional excellence, she is a person of high integrity whom we had a privilege to know.

Christine Kelly is absolutely wonderful to work with. She took time to talk with me and really listen about my needs for my totally redesigned master suite in my 1948 Cape Cod. Then she presented me with several design options and introduced me an awesome designer and skilled contractors. Christine worked with the county on my permits taking the burden of off me. Christine is talented and skilled and she not only helped me get that serene master suite I’ve been wanting, her design has increased the value of my house.

Christine has worked with us on a remodel of our entire first floor, including the kitchen and a screened-in porch. We are delighted with her work and highly recommend her. She patiently listened to us as we described what we needed and then drafted a design that encompassed all of our needs and wants. She's a real visionary. We were particularly impressed with her attention to the needs for a house with children and her thoughtfulness in designing the flow, making sure we had enough storage, and finding room for a "command center." She really cares about her clients and patiently works with them to get it right.

I was very pleased with Christine's work and I have already recommended her to numerous people! Christine's design for our home took into account everything we wanted to achieve and also had a very WOW effect. Christine helped us maximize storage and energy efficiency. I can't count how many people have paid us compliments on the curb appeal of our project. Renovations and big projects like this have many ups and downs - Christine's zen personality was helpful when the unknowns happened. Her calm demeanor - and willingness to come over on short notice - make her a true professional.

Christine was a joy to work with on our first house flip. She designed a beautiful and functional house and helped us put out a high-quality and attractive product without completely sacrificing our profit margin. She has fantastic ideas and came up with some creative solutions to some difficult to work with spaces. She is also very patient, accessible, flexible, works very quickly and is open to suggestions, which isn't always the case with architects of her caliber. We've already hired Christine for our next project and look forward to working with her again! I can't recommend her enough to both home owners and business owners alike.

We had a great experience working with Christine on our remodel. Our kitchen had an awkward layout which included the laundry and a small pantry. Her ideas for reconfiguring the space gave us an open kitchen, a walk-in pantry, an office area and a dedicated laundry room. She also enlarged both of our bathrooms by removing two small walls and giving us an updated layout. Christine was always professional, easy to work with and responded quickly to any questions, concerns or changes. She helped us through the contractor selection. Even though our renovations were extensive, they were completed in 9 weeks. We would not hesitate to recommend Christine or to use her for any projects in the future.

I cannot say enough about Christine and her firm. We came to her with a mid-century home that should have been a tear down. It was covered in mold, trees were growing out of the fireplace and duct work, and the roof was caving in. When a house is in that bad of shape, it becomes a challenge to even envision what can be done. Christine had wonderful ideas that modernized the house, while still protecting the Mid-Century feel and what Goodman brought to the original architecture. Christine went above and beyond guiding us through the neighborhood Design Review Committee and helped us immeasurably with the County on permitting. I cannot recommend her enough.

Michael Morris - Residential Project Advisory

I am a builder of custom homes and large scale renovations. I have done numerous jobs with Christine over the years. As a builder, one of the most critical parts of the construction process is that the plans are technically correct and clear for all of the required contractors and suppliers that perform work on the project. Christine does a great job in this respect, this helps both budget and timeline stay on track. We have worked on projects ranging from a historically correct Craftsman total renovation (circa 1920 original house) to a Contemporary waterfront home. These projects were complicated structures that also demanded architectural integrity to the original design. Both of these projects turned out beautiful and with more than happy owners. I have done other projects with Christine of varying difficulty and she has always delivered a great product to build from. I would highly recommend her for anyone looking for an architect that is skillful and enjoyable to work with.
