Michael Humphrey/Humphrey Construction Company

I have renovated many houses and apartments over the past 35 years. I have had many good contractors, but Michael Humphrey is undoubtedly one of the best. He is intelligent, understands his business totally, is very honest, never settles for any work that is less than totally top notch and follows through completely. In addition he is a delightful individual whose main concern is giving his customers the best possible job possible. I would never use anyone else in this locale and recommend him totally. P.S. This is the second renovation I have done with him.

Michael Humphrey was the contractor on a new house which we built in Nantucket in 2012. We found his work excellent with exceptional attention to detail and craftsmanship. He has also proven to be extraordinary in his continuing responsiveness to anything that we have required since we moved into the house. We cannot praise him, his attitude or his work more highly. He is a thorough professional.

My lat updatede husband was an architect who used Humphrey instruction on many jobs in Nantucket. When he died and I noticed the deck needed to be replaced, I asked Michael to do it. Turned out that my husband (like the shoemaker) had done lite to no maintenance in the 30 years since the house was built. There was rot everywhere ...it turned into a major rehab job from floor joists to windows to shingles. At one point after 3 months of rehabilitation work , I consulted with Michael about his availability and he redid the bathrooms as well. I have a "new" house , all completed on time. Neighbors who watched h the progress have stopped me to say they never observed any crew more professional and neater. I can not recommend Humphrey Construction too highly. And as an aside since I wasn't on island I was updated constantly with photos.
