Kimberly Kappelman is dedicated to client service and believes in going out of her way to exceed expectations. She realizes the importance of forming strong relationships with clients to help them identify and meet their housing needs. Combining her financial, business, investing, and innovative marketing expertise, Kimberly is the right partner for home buyers and sellers. Prior to joining @properties and becoming a Real Estate Agent, as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Kimberly worked for a Real Estate Investment Trust where she performed extensive property valuation and market analysis. Kimberly assessed the company’s portfolio of properties, which included over 300 properties totaling over $5.9 Billion in assets. Her background in business, property valuation, market analysis, and attention to detail help her create and implement strong marketing plans, determine appropriate pricing structures, and ultimately help her clients sell their homes for the highest value. In early 2013 Kimberly and husband/business partner Mark started their own Real Estate Development Company where they buy, renovate or build, and sell properties. As an investor, Kimberly has become an expert in analyzing properties in the Chicago area from both the buy and sell sides of a transaction. She not only seeks to find the best home for her clients, but also looks for a property that will be a good investment and will generate future value. Her experience as an investor has also helped her in implementing strong negotiating skills, understanding the in’s and out’s of purchase and sale contracts, as well as building a team and network of experts to assist in all aspects of the real estate transaction. This includes attorneys, insurance agents, home inspectors, contractors, lenders, etc. Kimberly has also become very experienced in the design aspect of properties, including the newest trends in finishes and floorplans, and what updates add the most value to a property. This can be extremely important in attaining the highest sale price when selling a home as well as in building equity in a new home purchase.
