Tamsin Design Group

Tamsin and her team worked with us to transform our unfinished basement into our favorite area in our home. Tamsin had the vision to design the perfect layout for us while working around electric panels, HVAC, support poles and other challenges you come across in a basement. She is easy to work with, mindful of the budget, knowledgeable in all facets of design from layout and space planning to choosing soft furnishings and styling shelves, and did as much or as little as we needed in each space. Our project included a guest bedroom, full bathroom, living space, wine cellar, kitchen/entertainment area, and kids playroom and she helped us bring it all together beautifully. In fact, her work won the 2018 St Louis Architect & Design Award for Best Lower Level. We couldn't be happier and look forward to working with Tamsin again.

I cannot say enough about the outstanding job Tamsin did designing our home. She is extremely well rounded on all aspects of the design from initial floor plans and space layouts all the way through selection of furnishings. Tamsin is more than just the interior designer. On our project she wore multiple hats including project manager, scheduler, expediter and drafter. Most importantly Tamsin is an excellent listener and she works very hard to deliver the result that the customer is trying to achieve. Tamsin also has an excellent reputation with her trade partners. She has done the research and knows where to go to find the best materials, suppliers and tradesmen. My wife and I will be forever grateful for the job Tamsin did in helping us bring to life the home we always dreamed of. Simply put we could not of done this without her expertise.

I've had the pleasure of working with Tamsin on numerous projects and am delighted with the results. She brings a truly professional attitude to each project and has an incredible sense of style. What I appreciate most about her is how she constantly looks out for her customers. She will not let any substandard work or product slide; she keeps me on my toes and the final result shows her attention to detail.

Tamsin and Rachel worked with us for over 2 years through the planning, construction and then the designing of our new home. One or both of them were always available to meet with us or for us and they made us feel as if we were their main priority. If we were told along the way that something was not possible or couldn't be done, Tamsin and Rachel fought for us to make it happen. There was so much 'behind the scene' work done by them that we were not even aware of until after it was taken care of. Our style quickly became their style as they were so good at understanding our likes, dislikes, etc... Tamsin and Rachel have become much more than designers to us and we will strongly recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Tamsin was amazing from start to finish with every detail of our project. She was amazing with colors, lighting, tile and just overall feel and comfort keeping in mind attention to detail and budget. She was flexible with our schedules and helped to make our selections as seamless as possible. We love our new kitchen and bar area. We are so grateful for Tamsin's eye for design. We couldn't be more pleased with our finished product.

Tamsin and her group are a class act. It's easy to find a designer when you want to throw them the reigns and a big budget. It's not always so easy to find a designer when you have your own strong opinions or a smaller budget. Tamsin helped my son find pieces to bring his "college" apartment up to speed as a "bachelor" apartment. He wanted to pick pieces that would have longevity towards the place he would eventually buy. She helped him change his furniture layout, met him at a store that was some distance away ( because it had the brand of furniture he wanted to purchase) to choose leather options. She made several recommendations incorporating them all on 2 different mood boards to help him see how it would all look together. While he didn't choose all her suggestions it helped him to find his style and make choices over time to make the place his. She didn't have any attitude when he selected items that were not at stores where she had accounts or connections. When he had questions that were time sensitive she was very quick to message or email even on weekends. Project was 7k.

We hired Tamsin as a designer on a large kitchen, family room, breakfast area project. She designed a floor plan that worked perfectly for the space. There were several walls that came down to create the new space. Tamsin was always available to help when issues that came up with contractors and the design. I really liked that she helped pick out the fixtures to really tie the look together. I have recommended her to several friends and they really are happy with the professional service she provides. We will definitely call her again for our next housing project!!

Tamsin Design Group was fantastic! Tamsin listened to our wants, needs and desires. She nailed it. She oversaw the the entire project from start to finish. She brought samples, sent me to appropriate web sites and even took me shopping. I will be using Tamsin again in future projects!:)

My husband and I bought our home and desperately needed to renovate the outdated kitchen. We found Tamsin online and was really impressed with her style and feedback from her other clients. We called her to set up a consultation and immediately knew we wanted to work with her. Her style and taste were exactly what we were looking for, which was clean, classic, and functionally. She set us up with a few contractors to interview and asked to see some pictures of my dream kitchen and then from there was able to recommend everything. Tamsin saved us COUNTLESS hours of shopping and picking out everything, which was so wonderful since I over think every decision. She met us at the counter tops store with her paint samples in her bag and we were able to pick out everything (counters, backsplash, and paint) in no time at all. She did an excellent job picking out our lighting and faucet. It was so relaxing to let her pick out everything because she knows what she is doing and we trusted her taste without any reservation. We are absolutely delighted with our BEAUTIFUL kitchen and will be using her again on our next project. We HIGHLY recommend Tamsin for your next project!!

I hired Tamsin and her design group to help with decorating our new construction. Tamsin was a delight to work with. She listened to my vision and helped to create a space that I love. She helped me to think outside my box and everything she picked came together beautifully. I would highly recommend this design group.

We are about to start on our fourth project with Tamsin and are thrilled with the way everything else has turned out! Our first project was a family room make over then we did a complete 1400 square foot lower level with stacked stone fireplace, bar and wine closet. Our third project was adding lots of lighting (can lights, chandeliers and fixtures) to our main level. Can't wait to start on the next one which is a redo of a place at the lake. Tamsin has a terrific eye and quickly learned how to incorporate our tastes with a great design style. There have been many times when she has brought samples for me to review and pick for a project and everyone one of them was perfect and I had a hard time choosing. She respects our budget and always had a variety of ideas and suggestions based on how much we have to spend on each area. I had not done much with a designer before. Because doing renovations and buying furniture involves some expenses, I was so happy to have found Tamsin. I know each project will turn out looking better than I had imagined and it always reflects our style (while staying true to our budget). She works efficiently and is conscious of deadlines. She is very easy to work and is a great project partner!! Can't wait to see what she has in store for our place at the lake... I know it will be stunning!!

I have my own business sewing custom window treatments, valances, pillows, etc. It has been a privilege to work with Tamsin for the past seven years. Her talent for design and her style make my job enjoyable. No two jobs are ever alike.
