My husband and I purchased our lakefront house on Lake Winnipesaukee in September 2015. Even though our home was beautiful we were looking for the right contractor to transform it into our dream home. K.A.Clason and his staff far exceeded all our expectations and ended up being the right company for our project. Our first level looks so amazing! My wife & I were looking to completely remodel a project home for us. After searching, we found K. A. Clason. What a blessing in disguise! The design process was smooth as butter, and the kitchen / bathroom design they did almost made my wife cry. The cabinetry they did in the kitchen is absolutely breathe taking! We hired K.A. Clason to make a major addition to our island home of 25 years. The addition added about 50% to the size of the home and was blended beautifully with the existing structure. We hired Kurt Clason to renovate our 20 year old lake house. It was a complete stud to stud 3 floor renovation, including architectural drawings , new heating/cooling systems, insulation, interior redesign and dormer addition to the Master bedroom etc...Kurt and his right hand man, Derek, are hands-on and completed a significant amount of the work themselves. Kurt also recommended and utilized many experts including an architect, stone mason, electrician, plumber, etc. The project began in the late Fall of 2012 and ended in the late Summer of 2013. Kurt is a very intelligent, hard working, creative and flexible person. This project involved renovation and expansion of an island camp. It started with an architect suggesting rough details for a new deck, screened in porch, pass through to the existing house and interior reconfiguration. Kurt translated this into CAD, did multiple revisions, provided a clear explanation of design choices, provided an estimate, and obtained the permits. He met with us throughout the project, sent pictures and was always available to walk us through alternatives by phone or in person. He dealt with a bunch of hidden surprises and owner changes, fixed problems that were not part of the project and finished the work on time and on budget. Kurt is smart, resourceful, flexible, patient, stays on top of the latest building trends and developments, plus he can fix or build about anything. He does beautiful work, hires good people and is a consummate professional. We would hire him again in a minute.

K. A. Clason (Kurt) designed and built our 3 bedroom/2bath Adirondack summer island home on Lake Winnipesaukee, NH. Kurt has extensive knowledge & experience of adirondack style homes. Kurt worked with us thru all aspects of the project making necessary changes along the way to meet our needs. Kurt customized the railings using trees from our property. He customized the house to account for my husband's height of 6'7". Cabinetry, closets & storage areas were designed and placed to make the maximum use of the space provided. Throughout the project we witnessed Kurt's incredible working relationship with other subcontractors he brought in to complete our home. We met weekly at the property, Kurt was always available to discuss the project. Kurt has amazing knowledge of building a island home to suit an owners needs. Our home is only accessible by boat. Our project was completed within the original budget except for upgrades we requested along the way & within the time frame promised. Every aspect of the house was first class.
