In preparing to move from our home into an apartment we were very concerned about What, Where and How to get things in order. Our biggest concern was the care, transport and placement of our large collection of art. After a recommendation to us, we contacted Galen Interiors for help. We found they were exactly What we needed! They knew What we should do and Where and How to begin.Their aesthetic skills proved to be sensitive and amazing and they went to work immediately! Our precious art examples were treated with respect and care as if they were their own.Things were soon displayed to "look their best" in handsome arrangements on walls and on shelves. Working with Galen and Robert has been a great experience. They worked with Robert Davis, Contractor, West Haven Contractors and remodeled my entire house. They skillfully guided me in selecting a new color scheme, furniture and style. They integrated much of my current artwork into the design and the results are amazing and picture worthy!

Galen and Robert are amazing. We had a short time to decorate a unit for my aunt. They listened to her recommendations and knew exactly what to do. After fifteen years of benign neglect our old home needed a complete refresh, and we did not know where to begin. We turned to Galen and Robert for help, and they collaborated with us to develop a detailed design roadmap that would guide our efforts. They paid particular attention to our lifestyle, individual needs, and personal tastes and developed a plan that met all of our objectives. It incorporated fixtures, finishings, furniture, and décor that are stylish yet timeless and that blend elegantly. This roadmap allowed us to take a phased approach to our remodel without risking design confusion. We are now in year three and wrapping up the final phase of our expertly managed home remodel project. Thanks to Galen’s and Robert’s patience and their tireless focus on every detail at every stage, we could not be more pleased with the results.

Working with Robert and Galen on our whole house remodel and interior design has been a wonderful experience. When I faced relocating to a much smaller living space, I needed help! Galen and Robert listened to me and found the just-right-sized items, in colors and textures that made me feel happy. They integrated the new furniture with my old, can't-let-it-go items and arranged everything so I was completely comfortable in my down-sized residence. I recently moved from a 1900 sq ft 3 bedroom home to a 911 sq ft 2 bedroom apt in an independent senior living community. Galen Interiors was recommended by a friend as well as from a top administrator from the senior community to where I was moving. What I really valued from Galen Interiors was the fact that Galen and Robert came to my home and really listened to my thoughts and what I wanted to accomplish. They looked closely and noted the furniture, momentos and knick knacks that I valued and hoped to be able to take with me. They then measured everything carefully. Next, they went to look at my new apt to see how it would all fit. They made a wonderful plan illustrating where everything would be placed. Additionally, I wanted a few new pieces of furniture such as a comfortable small sofa during the day that would make into a bed at night for visitors, a love seat for the living room, an end table for my bedroom and a very comfortable nice looking reclining arm chair. Galen Interiors not only found the perfect pieces but also created a wonderful new look and use with my own possessions. They placed pictures and other momentos in a very artistic and meaningful way. For example placing several photos on the wall that related to my parents, other photos in another area centering on my immediate family and others in yet another spot focusing on dear friends - without any direction from me. They seemed to have an intuitive sense of what went well with each other, placement and what was truly meaningful to me given the number of pictures and photographs to choose from. This really made me feel good and at home. They did this also with all my knick knacks, avoiding a cluttered look which was a small miracle. They came up with wonderful ideas which included utilizing a book case both to show off knick knacks along with using it as a stand for my flat screen t.v. Additionally, they converted a beautiful tray into a center piece coffee table using a piece of custom fit glass to cover the top of the tray which also protected and stabilized the tray/table. They were very open to any ideas I had and were extremely patient with me when I changed my mind a couple of times. Additionally, they created a huge wow factor by having everything in place the day I moved in. They called it “the big reveal” and it was. From the moment I entered the apt I felt it was truly my home, surrounded by things that were meaningful to me while adding that “wow” factor of artistic design that only Galen Interiors could have provided. Additionally, Galen and Robert radiated positivity, good humor, patience and flexibility along with incredible professionalism and follow-through. I can’t say enough about Galen Interiors and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to make a move to a new home or just making positive changes to their current home.

It was indeed a pleasure to work with Galen Interiors, they made our house feel like a home. Robert and Galen were fun to work with, never pushed us and always respected our opinions.
