I cannot say enough great things about the job Valerie and the entire Design Directions staff (thank you Angel and Keith) did in taking a shared vision and bringing it to fruition. The project was much more than just decorating or remodeling; she designed the entire new build house, from the contemporary architecture down to the door knobs. Valerie listened to my broad vision and then brought spectacular details and elements together that exceeded expectations. We worked without a formal budget but she was always conscious of costs and provided options on where we may splurge for dramatic effect or where we may want to compromise for cost savings. During the entire project I never felt like we wasted money or overspent on any of the dramatic features of the house or furnishings. We have lived in the house for about a month and I can honestly say I don't have a favorite room or feature. That is because the entire house flows from room to room into one seamless "wow", but is also comfortable and livable. If you are looking for a team with talent, ideas, and a desire to please the client then don't hesitate to call Valerie and Design Directions. They can make it happen for you.

This is our second time working with Design Directions and we couldn’t be happier with our nearly whole house remodel! Valerie and her team go above and beyond in every aspect. From start to finish they took any stress out of the process and let us be as involved or as hands off as we wanted. We love our new kitchen! It is open and bluetiful! Valerie and her team took into consideration my favorite colors. The back splash is gorgeous. We get postive feedback from all who have come to visit. Of course in remodeling the kitchen it spilled out into the main living areas. I love the new brighter colors and our built-in buffet. With everything upgraded to the newest standards, we can now fill confident to have friends and family over to share our new spaces. Hiring Valerie, Keith and the rest of their team was without a doubt the best decision my husband and I made. I had never used an interior designer before and to be honest, I was a bit intimidated but I trusted my friends recommendation and made the call and very glad I did. Our house needed several updates and all the promises that they made were delivered beyond our expectations AND UNDER BUDGET! The whole team was amazing to work with in slowly creating the home of our dreams. The crew that was in our house on a day to day basis was on time, attentive, clean and respectful. With any older home, unexpected problems can arise and they handled the problems immediatley and Valerie worked as if it was her own home and I cannot say thank you enough for that. I was truly humbled to see the results and see the vision come to life. This was just the first round of remodel that we intend to do on our home and when we are ready for the second, Design Directions will be my first phone call.

Valerie and the entire Design Directions team did a spectacular job with our Facial Spa build out! The design is so beautiful, elegant, and timeless. Everytime a new client enters, we always get compliments! But the best thing about working with Valerie is how SMOOTH everything went! She meticulously monitored every job and planned every detail so well so we didn't have to! It was SO easy and such a relief so I could focus on my business and trust that she will execute everything flawlessly. Everything turned out far better than our expectations! Valerie completely transformed our 70-year-old house to the modern home of our dreams. We bought our 1950s home for its location and knowing that we had a remodel project on our hands. Our previous house was a similar project that we took on without a designer... (never again). The experiences were night and day. Valerie listened to our design preferences; she showed us 3D renderings of her ideas; she provided an accurate budget; and she coordinated EVERYTHING while keeping us informed. We didn't have to lift a finger. And the finished product is better than we could have ever imagined. In addition to remodeling our home, Valerie helped us fill it with beautiful furniture. Her access to manufacturers allowed her to find timeless pieces that we couldn't access on our own. Having her furnish our remodeled home was the "cherry on top" and enhanced an already-amazing experience. We still have to pinch ourselves. In short, Valerie and her team nailed it. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. It is easy for us to recommend Design Directions to friends and family, and we will be repeat clients for future projects.

Hiring Valerie and her amazing team to renovate our 1914 craftsman bungalow was a FANTASTIC decision! I was concerned that by opening up and modernizing our home we would lose it’s craftsman charm, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Valerie listened carefully to our goals and concerns and with her design and decorating talent layed out a functional floor plan that utilized and maximized our small space beautifully! We were able to open up our main living space, add a master bedroom, master bath and a walk- in closet while increasing our storage exponentially! Valerie was always professional, responsive and very detail oriented. Working with Valerie and her team was a wonderful experience and now we are enjoying a home that is not only beautiful but also incredibly functional!

I can't say enough great things about Valerie and her team. I needed a lot of help in making my open-concept kitchen come to life, and she was able to execute flawlessly. She had a beautiful cabinet built to replace the storage I lost when opening up the wall and picked out a herring backsplash that compliments my new quartz countertops perfectly. She also made my living and dining room area feel bigger and brighter suggesting we paint a high gloss on my barreled ceilings to highlight the detail, which is something I never would have thought to do! She was also able to do everything way under budget! Thanks again, Valerie!
