About Us

DESIGN-BUILD-REMODEL-PAINT For over 25 years, Kris Spaulding Construction, Inc. has been a leader in custom home remodel and new construction, including room additions, kitchen & bath remodel, basement finishing and custom homes, as well as offering design and paint services. Our experience enables us to guide clients through each phase of the building or remodel process and we welcome and encourage client participation at every step along the way. We pride ourselves on providing exemplary service and quality to each of our clients. Our staff will work with you on your project design, render them electronically to help you better visualize your creation before we get started. In addition, we'll assist in establishing a budget, putting together a construction schedule, understanding the permit process and working through the many design decisions to be made. These represent just a few of the key aspects of our collaboration with you, our client.

Kris and his team have remodeled all our bathrooms and renovated our kitchen. They are the best!! They communicate well, deliver what they promise, pleasant to work with, and keep the place as clean as possible. I know that everything is structurally sound and in better shape than it started out. They do a great job designing and making suggestions. I love so many colors and materials and relied on them to help me find a tasteful and unified look. While I love the end look, there is a high comfort level in knowing the workmanship that you cannot see is of the highest caliber!

I used Spaulding Construction for primarily painting. Could not be happier with the results. Matt was also phenomenal with attention to detail, keeping me up-to-date with progress, and flexibility. He is also trustworthy; I felt comfortable with him in my house. The other work that was done on a previous job was done well also. While here, another person told me how impressed he was with a renovation job at his church. Highly recommend.

Kris and his crew provided excellent and professional work. They were very easy to work with and so helpful. My first project with them was to redo my kitchen, replace all the flooring on the first floor and paint the entire downstairs of my house. They made this an enjoyable experience as opposed to a major disruption in my life. The guys kept the work area clean and progress moved right along like a perfectly choreographed dance! I was kept informed throughout the entire process. I was so pleased with the work that I called them back 4 months later to remodel my master bathroom! The designers of the crew were a big help with the redesign of the bathroom from the layout to the tile choices and the paint colors. Kris and his team became the family you choose and want in your house!!! My only regret is that I have nothing else to remodel, but if I did, I would definitely contact KSCI.

We hope you give Chris and Sue a look. We just had a down to the studs kitchen remodel. Our first major house project and was very nervous. The entire Spaulding team went above and beyond to take care of our project. Even with the supply chain delays the project went great during the entire time. I had questions and all of the team did their best to answer them . There were small glitches along the way but were rectified by a professional team. We are satisfied with the results and have a much more useful kitchen after 28 years of use. Then the wife decided to change the paint color after the job was completed which is also being taken care by the Spaulding team. Thanks for all your hard work

Kris, Sue, and their team just finished our basement and we love it! They made the process easy in many ways and delivered on time. They worked with us on creating a professional design which allowed us to visualize what the basement would look like when completed. They made several design suggestions and recommended local small businesses for us to work with to pick paint colors, flooring and cabinets. All of the experts at those stores were very helpful. All of their staff did very high quality work. They kept us informed every step of the way with email, texts, and a great app that tracks the progress of the project. They worked closely with the town of Normal to ensure they signed off. We could not be happier with the end product and would recommend Kris Spaulding Construction highly to others. Thanks Kris, Sue, and team!

We hired Kris and Sue to remodel our bedroom, master bath, and closet. From beginning to end, they were awesome to deal with. They do most of the work themselves so we weren't waiting on subs and saw the same great people every day. Once they started, they were there daily and if they weren't, we'd get a phone call or text as to why. The final product was better than expected. They were so good we hired them again for another job and got the same excellent result! I'd highly recommend them to any of my friends.

We hired Kris Spaulding Construction, Inc. to add a 4 seasons room to our home, add a concrete slab under the 4 seasons room and a storage space on top of that. They also contracted and oversaw the refinishing of our first floor hardwood floors. We were 100% satisfied with the project overall and the finished room. The entire staff is very professional and responsive. We absolutely LOVE the room and use it every day. It is gorgeous. We get so many compliments on the work and always let them know who did this excellent job for us. We highly recommend this company!

Kris and his team were great to work with. The work was thorough and professional. When I wasn't happy with the way something was done, Chris was very good about making the necessary changes. We only have a couple complaints. One is that some of the drywall work on the corners of the island they built for us was a little sub-par. I don't know if that was done by them or a sub-contractor. The other is that it took way too long for the job to get done because Chris had other higher-priority jobs taking up his time. If time matters on your job, make sure you get a clear commitment up front on whether they will be able to meet your needs.

We had our kitchen cabinets painted white by Matt. We are very impressed with not only the quality of work, but with the kindness Matt showed for our children! We've seen the trucks around town and my son always mentions Matt! Besides this, the work was thourough. We were provided a can of touch up paint. Also, Matt helped to paint the trim around our newly painted cabinets so my husband didn't have to tape around it. We're so happy w this company! Thank you!

Took the nearly impossible job of renovating the Princess Theatre in Leroy, and turned it into a gem! Everything had to be re-done, from the floors to the roof and ceiling. Installed new bathrooms and lobby.
