Couto Homes

Couto homes provided little to no customer service and extremely poor communication throughout our build process. Their incompetence cost us a lot of money. Our build superintendent told us in February the home would be complete in April but it wasn’t complete until July. As a result, my family and I had to put our belongings in storage, find a temporary place to live in a record high market, and my wife could not take the job she had lined up where our new home was. Couto did nothing to rectify the problems we encountered, and have yet to take care of blue tape from the walkthrough in June.

The Couto Homes team was GREAT to work with. After my wife and I toured a few of the custom homes Couto Homes had under construction, we asked them to combine elements from three of those homes to create a unique floor plan for us. For Couto Homes, that wasn’t a problem. We had the draft floor plan in just a few days. After a few modifications and improvements to the draft floor plan, many of them suggested by Couto team members (Rob was especially helpful in this area), we were ready to build. As is to be expected with any major project, there were a few change orders and a couple hiccups; however, the Couto Team (and job superintendent, Joey) did a great job accommodating our change orders, and they addressed issues in a timely and professional manner. As of right now, we expect our new Couto home to be our “forever” home; but, if we were to have another home built, Couto Homes would be our builder! In short, if you're searching for a custom home builder that provides excellent customer service, as very satisfied customers, we can tell you, you don’t have to search any further. We highly recommend Couto Homes.

We had an idea but odd lot, Donny was a master at taking what we wanted from his existing homes and worked it into a solution to fit our lot and make our dream house come to life. We fell in love with the ceilings and wood work and the attention to detail in his homes. We are very happy with our choice and our finished retirement home. Thanks for the whole team and all they did for us.

I cannot say enough good about Couto Homes. They built the most beautiful custom home for us and made it soooo easy. There were minimal hiccups along the way, as expected, but they (Josh our GC) always made them super painless. I would recommend anyone to build with them. They have perfect work!

Donny was very accommodating and helpful through the whole process. He was the reason we went with them in the first place, and it turned out to be the right decision. The house is beautiful and one of a kind. We were also lucky enough to work with Joey Couto was awesome and made things easier to deal with. I would definitely use them if I ever built another house!

Couto Family, We'd like to take this opportunity to express our tremendous thanks to all of the wonderful staff that assisted us from start to finish on the design, decisions and construction of our magnificent home! Never once did we encounter a, we can't, we don't, you'll have to wait, or any negative response. Instead the response was 'we'll be there at....and a specified time was provided and met. Whenever we dropped by the office we were always addressed by name as soon as we walked through the door. Many times my wife was under the weather and at least one person would walk out to the truck to say hello and check on her. All of the employees at Couto made us feel like family and they were always there to help in any way that they could! THANK YOU ALL! From the first exploratory meeting to the day we moved in, Couto Homes and all of the employees were super helpful, honest, and concerned about us! We had heard horror stories about building and the stress it causes, but I can honestly say that this was a relatively pain free experience. Our all in price didn't change one penny from our original quoted price. Of course, we were committed to the design we selected and customized, so we didn’t change our minds throughout the process. Our only out of pocket costs were for things that we decided to add at the conclusion of construction: a very nice water softener and additional sod to complete our lot. We have recommended Couto Homes to every person we’ve talked with considering new home construction!

Positive and professional. Two words to describe our house building experience with Couto Homes that exceeded expectations. From the planning to the finish-out, without exception, every employee we worked with displayed a spirit of cooperation and patience. They were willing to answer our questions and make the necessary adjustments to keep us satisfied. Couto has a well maintained website, to keep their clients fully informed. They utilize Build Tools software to provide pictures and information throughout the build process. They demand the subs keep a clean job site and their attention to detail meant we had a finished product we are proud to call home. I highly recommend you consider Couto to build your new home.

Couto Homes; Integrity, Honesty and knowledge sets the bar for any Home Builder in the DFW / Ft. Worth area. My wife and I have been residents of this area for over 20 years, owned 4 Homes and have never been as pleased with the "Home" Couto delivered to us in January! The entire process was "excellent". Sure there were challenges, BUT Couto stepped up to all of them. As our Home was a "Custom Home" their attention to detail surpassed our expectations. From the Designer, Project Manager, and all other support staff my Wife and I were met with a "Yes Maim" and "Yes Sir" "What else can we do for you" from the moment we walked through the door. And the House! We love everything about it! The quality, workmanship and detail stand out in every room. The trades were professional and a "pleasure" to work with... Couto Homes is a really outstanding home builder. They built a home for my wife & me and we were extremely pleased with every detail. They really strive to give their customers a lot of value for their money. They are extremely flexible getting everything done to your satisfaction but offer some great advice when needed. They built our house in the DeCordova Ranch HOA in Granbury, Texas & I would recommend them to anyone.
