We cannot speak highly enough of Gossett Jones. After looking all over Austin, we discovered the home after it had been designed and permitted, but before significant work had begun. Because of this, we were able to make many design changes and customizations. All members of GJH's staff were professional and serving throughout the process, especially our project manager. Although the house was finished about a week later than anticipated, we were made aware of schedule changes and saw how hard they worked to complete the home with high quality. They continued to work with us after move in on final tweaks. The house is beautiful - everything we wanted and more.

The quality of construction and finish out speaks volumes when you walk through these homes but what is more impressive about these builders in my opinion is the relationships they create and nurture throughout the building process. We recently had a Gossett Jones Craftsman-style custom home built for us in the Brentwood neighborhood of Austin, TX. After living in our newly built home for over a year, we are extremely happy with both the process that Gossett Jones (GJ) uses and the quality of the results. One of the owners (Jared Gossett) helped us find a lot that we liked and had their architect modify one of their floorplans that we selected to fit the lot. We were living in Houston at the time, so I was concerned about the logistics of building in another city. But it was no problem to work with their designer/selection manager (Tara) online and in person to select finishes, hardware, and paint colors. Once the building started, our project manager (Dean) posted pictures online so that we could track the progress. I was impressed by both their patience and responsiveness. I showed Tara or Dean pictures of items that I wanted included, such as closet custom rod/shelf configurations, built-in shelves and window seat for the library, and ADA modifications to the master bathroom, and they were added at a very reasonable "labor and materials" cost. We had a third party building inspector check the house at critical stages of the construction. He mentioned that he wished all the builders he worked with were like GJ. When you are building a house, there are always little things that come up. But all I had to do was report an item noticed on one of my periodic visits or in the inspector's report, and it was fixed in a timely manner with no fuss. The constructiion manager (Brian) did a great job on the final walk through and answering/fixing any Warranty concerns that we had after closing. In fact, every GJ employee that we worked with was very helpful, easing the anxiety of building a new home, especially from a different city. The resulting home turned out even better than we had hoped - we LOVE it.

We bought a custom home through Gosset Jones Homes in 2011. We were involved in the design process from the beginning, and overall, the company was great to work with. They were fair, honest, and truly cared about creating a quality finished product.

I purchased the Margaret home new from Gossett Jones about a year ago. I can't say enough good things about them... they were (and continue to be) easy to work with, professional, knowledgeable, and above all, they built a great home for me and my family. Gossett Jones has a fantastic team. They are so organized and pleasant to work with. They may not be the cheapest bid you will get but you won't have to worry about anything. GJ did a custom home build for me in early 2013. Our biggest hold up was getting plans through the city, but once that was done their project management team was completely on task. Their design team was also great about offering me options and ideas to keep the project in budget, which I more or less managed. The house if gorgeous and totally uniquely us.

My wife and I flew from Ohio to Austin in late 2012. While we were in town visiting we decided to purchase a custom house from Gossett Jones Homes (GJH) that was midway through the construction process. After that visit we did not return to Austin until the home was completed and we were ready for closing. We did initially have concerns about not being in town during construction, but as we got to know the GJH team and made our final selections we knew we were in good hands. It was an absolute pleasure talking to and working with every member of the GJH team during the completion of our home. When we arrived in Austin in March the finished house exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful. I remember seeing the smile on my wife's face as we walked through the house for the first time. That's when I knew that we made the right choice buying this house from GJH. GJH - a great company made up of a team of wonderful people. Highly recommended. I hired Gossett Jones to build a semi-custom home in south Austin in 2012. Their staff was knowledgeable, reliable, and they finished my home both under budget, and under the initial building timeline. What's more important to me than their skill and knowledge is the trust I have in them. I trust them to do keep my interests at heart, I trust that the job will get taken care of, right, the first time, and to the level of quality that I would expect without requiring constant intervention. I felt very comfortable working with everyone in the office, and was relieved that my project turned out so stress-free. Gossett Jones built my home, and they'll build my next one too.
