The Town + Country Cedar Homes team does more than design and build custom luxury log and timber frame houses. We create homes where lives take root, traditions are made and families thrive. At Town + Country, we build networks of people who really understand what we do and then plug in levels of supervision from our end, tailored, again, to the client's ultimate desires. We have done full, turn-key projects, construction consulting/oversight, shell erection and just package-only across a wide area of this country, Canada, Korea and Japan. Even at a distance, this idea of taking what is traditionally a disjointed, dysfunctional process and putting our arms around it can be achieved. In terms of the design, all of what we do is custom and client specific, meaning it is not like the "old days" of a plan book or a catalog. Architectural and Engineering is included in our package. Expanding/contracting/combining existing plans, adding/deleting elements all can be done, as well as timber/log shingle/stone can be changed or combined. Or, as many have done, "if you can dream it, we can produce it". Town + Country has been doing this since 1947, always pushing the envelope, innovating and moving the bar along the way. We utilize much of today's technology, but always with the client in mind, never creating frustrating, digitally-painful situations, where the computer is our enemy - dropbox for sharing, online video conferencing if needed, sketchup for 3D modeling, screen sharing to allow all to feel as though they are at the same table...all of these at a distance, saving clients travel time/money, process time, scheduling time, etc.. These technologies are, then, integrated into our production, creating material specifications, material take-offs, pre-built components and building systems, all packaged and bundled, saving time (money) on site, and, finally, all coordinated with the General Contractor on site, before/during/after the design phase, utilizing all of the same digital technologies mentioned above. All of this is done, in most basic terms, to systemize the chaos of building a custom home, especially from a distance, and take the "Oh my God, you're building a home; I feel soooo sorry for you!" out of the process.
