Darci Reimund Designs is a full-service design firm specializing in high-end residential and commercial projects. The services we offer are construction, architecture, interior architecture, and interior design. Our design is reflective of our clients’ lifestyles and needs. We believe that each space should tell a story based on its functionality, while weaving in individual style. Utilizing a mixture of modern, rustic, stylized and traditional pieces with simple, clean lines; Darci Reimund Designs organically blends the lines between form and function, casual and formal that inspires the essence of living and working well. Design Philosophy Our goal is to create welcoming interiors that are rich and layered with style. We incorporate classic principles of scale, proportion and quality in each design, and focus on a collaborative approach with our clients. Last year we moved out of a house we loved because it was too small for our growing family. Luckily, we found a nearby rental so we did not have to leave the community. The home had been completely remodeled by DRD and we got to know Darci through the process. Several months later when we found a house to buy that was right for us longer term, we asked her / DRD to partner with us on a major remodel. While we did not change the layout of the home, we changed everything else. Darci managed the process start to finish. She combines incredible operational efficiency with exquisite taste. We started work on August 1 and moved into the home just before Thanksgiving. We felt so fortunate that she was willing to take us on as clients. We cannot believe we get to live in this incredible house!

Darci has a gift of vision and exceptional taste but more importantly she gets things done! We had a very tight timeline to complete a total remodel and get it rented. We were challenged with material delays and additional work that was discovered it a very old house but Darci kept things moving forward. The end result is beautiful! We have referred her to many friends and will continue to do so.

Darci has been wonderful to work with. She has helped me update just about every room in my house and been patient with my desire to go along and do just several rooms at a time, so we could keep the house livable. The project has touched just about everything - paint, floors, paneling, fixtures and furnishings. She has a great sense of style and a great eye for for design. She takes the time to understand your vision and get to know your preferences and also takes your own vision and creates something far beyond that. She really understood the ages of my children and did a fabulous job understanding their needs today and over the next few years. She brings in really great subcontractors. I get lots of compliments on our house, in particular some of the unique elements Darci created. I would highly recommend Darci.

Darci has been an absolute joy to work with since we starting collaborating two months ago. She has a fantastic eye for design, both architecturally and aesthetically. Moreover, she is somehow able to keep a big-picture view of the project while simultaneously maintaining just the right level of detail orientation. She has taken numerous opportunities during our project to go above and beyond the call of duty; working late, showing up early, doing extra work when plans have changed at the last minute… I could go on. She’s done all this with project-oriented attitude that could best be described as being accommodating, with self-assuredness in her instincts. I would (and plan to) gladly work with Darci again.

After admiring two homes she designed for her own family, we hired Darci to step in during a moment of design crisis in our major backyard/patio project. She delivered beautiful results in an impossibly tight time frame. Since then, she completely transformed three bedrooms for our children and created sophisticated, yet age appropriate, spaces that perfectly match each of their personalities. We are now using her to re-envision three rooms to create a den, his/her office, and family media room. She has a great sense of style, a deep bench of professionals to handle every aspect of the job done, and a terrific sense of humor to cap it all off.

Darci walks on water! She drove a major transformation of my 5 bedroom Mediterranean house in Menlo Park. The project touched every room and included paint, floors, furnishings, and fixtures. She is an amazing creative talent , and easily drove $500k - $600k premium when I recently sold the house. During the realtor tour my house was called the "pick of the tour." The house sold in three days with multiple offers and a huge premium over asking price this past July.

Her attention to detail is second to none and when she makes a decision she stands by it, and being a sub contractor that is invaluable. Her projects move along very well and don't get bogged down with indecision. I really like her style and choices of product, they always seem to fit the project we are working on together. We hired Darci when we were building our home. She helped us pick finishes for the floors, tiles, counter tops and paint colors. She is a creative problem solver that has a great aesthetic and was sensitive to our cost concerns. She works well with both the builder and the architect., which helped expedite our process. We would use her again if we are ever crazy enough to build a home.

Darci has designed a beautiful plan for our very complex renovation/remodel/restoration project that is also highly functional. Throughout the design process, Darci took a unique approach with heavy consideration given to how we will live in the space. She has accommodated our changing needs while maintaining a traditional and classic style that Compliments the original 1928 cottage. I'm confident we will love the space and enjoy it for many years to come.
