Kirk Cornelius is an awesome builder with an eye for the details and an absolute insistence on quality. He is a wonderful person that I enjoyed working with throughout the project and his subs respect him and love working on his projects. To me, that says a tremendous amount about his ethics, quality and competency. I would be anxious to have Kirk build a house for me again.

After interviewing various builders, we used Kirk Cornelius to build our custom home. We used him again when, four years later, we decided to finish our lower level and add a detached garage. We highly recommend him and would use him again without question. He is an honest builder who really understands construction---he was able to work with us on-site to make custom adjustments as we were building. There were never any surprises in his fees, and each month we received a detailed invoice showing each contractor’s cost and bill. Kirk’s contractors are high quality, and when maintenance or repairs have been needed over the years, when I mention Kirk Cornelius was our builder, everyone has gone out of their way to accommodate our current needs. Kirk has stood behind his work, regardless of how many years may have passed, whether it has meant coming out to the house at no charge or connecting us with the right people for a repair. We are fairly demanding people, and in the Kansas City and surrounding area, we think Kirk Cornelius is the best builder to be had for experience, honesty, quality, and follow-through.

Kirk designed and built our previous home and we loved it, so we hired him to update and remodel an older home we purchased. The kitchen was remodeled, as were all the bathrooms. Two new bedrooms and adjoining baths were added. Wall, ceiling and hardwood surfaces were redone throughout the house. The house was wired for audio, alarms and video. A new wood spiral staircase was added. HIs sub-contactors are professional, highly skilled and trustworthy. We would highly recommend Kirk Cornelius for a new home or a large remodel. He is great to work with and the quality of the end product is among the best in KC!
