Scholten did an excellent job with our kitchen remodel and we couldn't be happier! When we first walked into the showroom we to talk with them we weren't sure exactly what we wanted. After talking to us about what we had in mind they came out, took some initial measurements and provided an initial design. All along the way Emily guided us by providing several options to choose from and expert advice of our options and what is commonly being done today on other projects. They handled everything! When it came to the remodel Abe and Grant provided superb craftsmanship and excellent communication along the way. We highly recommend Scholten and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Scholton's remodeled my kitchen in 2017 and two bathrooms in 2023. Emily, the designer, was knowledgeable and creative - and an excellent project manager! A rare combination. Robb, the installer, was an exquisite craftsman, attending to the finest detail. He was also very considerate and personable. Both were a joy to work with and have in my home. I was delighted the results. I highly recommend them!

Emily and Rob at Scholten were a dream team. We had them completely renovate our kitchen in the Winchell neighborhood - our first major home renovation. Everyone loves it - a beautiful final product. Emily took our ideas and created a cohesive, sleek design that will bring value and be a space for gathering for decades to come in that home. Emily and Rob were also extremely professional, easy to work with, and responsive. We would highly recommend Scholten.

We were charged with designing the kitchen and main floor bathroom for our new Michigan lake house. We'd always lived in early 20th century homes and apartments in Chicago, where size was limited and the plumbing was funky. Suddenly faced with an open canvass and a good bit of space, we felt rather lost. Our builder assured us. He said, "you've got this" and sent us directly to Emily at Scholten Kitchen and Bath. Emily patiently worked us through the myriad of decisions of a new kitchen -- starting with the placement and type of countertop. Once we felt good about that central element, the next set of decisions came more easily. The quartz top was beautiful and the custom cabinetry fit perfectly. Her design sense was impeccable but, more importantly, she knew the kind of people we are and made sure the design and materials met our needs and satisfied our sensibilities. Emily's communication with us was outstanding -- always responsive to our calls and calming when we second-guessed ourselves. We were pleased with Emily's connections with Michigan companies and high quality plumbing suppliers. She never steered us wrong as the build proceeded and she helped us stay on budget. Altogether an outstanding engagement with a seasoned pro -- proud of the materials she represents, knows her customers well, practical and savvy.

We had Scholten’s Kitchen and Bath redo our kitchen and replace all of our flooring with LVP. Emily and Joe were both wonderful to work with! From Emily’s help with design and Joe’s attention to detail, the process couldn’t have gone better. We highly recommend Scholten’s! After working in and enjoying our kitchen for about a month I thought it important to write a review about our experience with Scholten Kitchen and Bath. After getting several quotes and design ideas we decided to go with Scholten’s because we felt that Emily understood our needs and designed a kitchen specific to those needs. After working in our kitchen I am seeing even more the functionality and efficiency of Emily’s design. I recall conversations I had with Emily regarding the placement of appliances and have found that I use the kitchen as she described. As well as creating a great design, Emily was easy to work with. She was helpful in picking out the details such as countertops and hardware and also quick in her responses to our communications. Now we not only have a beautiful kitchen, but one that works with our lifestyle. I would recommend Scholten Kitchen and Bath to anyone considering a kitchen remodel.

We had a great experience remodeling two bathrooms with Scholten's. Emily was wonderful to work with and always on top of our project. She was very easy to communicate with and listened to our ideas or concerns. Mike was top notch for installing tile, flooring, plumbing, and cabinetry. Any of Scholten's staff we encountered were always professional and helpful. We are very pleased with our bathrooms and would highly recommend Scholten's.

I contacted Olivia at Scholten Kitchen and Bath when we found ourself in a kitchen remodel after our dishwasher flooded and ruined our flooring and cabinets. She was extremely professional, helpful, and had a great eye for design. She recommended some changes to our kitchen that we would have never thought about. She laid out our options, helped us and guided us to figuring out what we were really wanting to do and change in our kitchen. Would recommend them to anyone who is looking to remodel their kitchen or bath.

I contacted Scholten Kitchen and Bath and I talked with Emily about some future remodel projects. She came to our home and listened to our vision for a kitchen and master bath remodel. She took pictures and measurements. We met several times in the showroom to discuss the layout and select materials. Emily was a pleasure to work with as she listened to my input and offered suggestions when I asked. Emily is a genuinely a nice person. Mike did the remodel work of our kitchen. He is a gem. We felt very comfortable having him in our home. His workmanship is great and he is a wonderful guy. There were a couple of challenges with two of our appliances fitting properly and we came up with a solution with Mike and it all worked out. The project was completed on time too! We have had other remodel projects done on a previous home by others and ran into issues and delays - not with Emily and Mike from Scholten Kitchen and Bath! We have not set a date for the bathroom remodel. When we want to proceed, I am calling Emily and requesting Mike!

SO HAPPY with our new kitchen. Scholten transformed our tiny (yet functional) kitchen into a dream chefs kitchen! Emily was great to work with. Her design and details were carried out through the end and the install went perfectly. The entire process was stress free and they allowed me to add in my individual touches. I used Scholten Kitchen and Bath on S Westnedge in Kalamazoo, MI for help designing a kitchen backsplash and they were WONDERFUL to work with! Maggie helped with the design and found the PERFECT subway tile to match some accent tiles I already had. Dan came out to measure for a piece of Cambria counter I needed and coordinated with the installer for their installation of it and everything went smoothly and right on time. While this was a small project for them they still gave me all the help I needed and answered questions in a timely manner. Before I moved back to Kazoo last fall I have worked with several contractors on extensive bathroom and kitchen gut jobs in my previous house over the 36 years I lived in my previous house and I got to really appreciate the qualities that a professional contractor has in design, implementation of the project and installing using a great crew. Scholten was EXACTLY the same level of expertise and dedication to providing outstanding support - on time and on budget with excellent installers - esp Pete the tile installer. While I was almost sad I did not need a new kitchen I WILL hire them, without hesitation, for a future project for living room/bar remodel. Just excellent people!
