Over the years, I have worked with some of Seattle's top interior designers. All have been artists and excellent at their craft. But, I found that Hilary was an amazing designer as well as the director of a tight, efficient business which translates to saved dollars for us. Hilary gave our builder a binder of specs that saved us from unanswered questions and change orders. The builder had never seen a presentation of specifications like this, and it saved him a lot of work.On the design side, Hilary is right on with color-- paint, carpet, wood flooring, cabinetry, window treatments, etc--it all flowed beautifully. Elegant simplicity! Hilary's firm gets it done beautifully!!!

Hilary and co. did a terrific job with us -- more than once! As we were building our new house, she was fantastic at helping us find excellent fixtures, wall coverings, trim, window coverings, hardwood floor approach, furnishings and many many many of the details that brought our house to life. This was tricky because my wife and I had slightly different tastes and we were pretty hardcore on our budget. Hilary had no trouble figuring out solutions that worked great for those constraints. After we'd been in our house for awhile and were ready to fix things up a bit (we never finished some rooms...) we called Hilary back and she jumped right in and has done a great job making our house more livable and more complete. She has my highest recommendation!

We've worked with Hilary on a couple different occasions and would highly recommend her. We hired Hilary Young Design Associates for a renovation of a few rooms in our old house and loved what she did so much, we hired her again when we bought our new house. This new project was very extensive as it involved a complete remodel inside and out. The redesign involved taking it down to the studs and completely remodeling the kitchen, bathrooms bedrooms, and recreation room. We added a wine room, gym and another bathroom as well. We also added a patio and another garage bay. It went from being a very traditional looking home to a more contemporary style to match our taste and busy lifestyle. Hilary and her team drove the process from start to finish and was always on time, mindful of budget and very professional. There is no way we could have done it without her, she was amazing. She also helped with furnishing and artwork and we love the final product. Hilary is the perfect balance of professional, honest and brilliant at what she does. She was able to work directly with our contractor to make sure our vision was implemented and managed everything beautifully. We highly recommend her and her amazing staff!

My contractor suggested I interview Hilary Young Design to do design work on our new construction custom home. I liked Hilary immediately, but was truly impressed when at just our second meeting she had completely summed up my design aesthetic. Hilary’s design choices are impeccable and I truly appreciate the range of sources from which she makes suggestions – from Overstock.com and Pottery Barn to Baker and top-of-the-line custom options – and that she never solely relies on break-the-budget recommendations. I trusted her and her staff from the get-go and found them always to be reliable and more than helpful. During the design process, she and her staff always provided a number of options and, if I was hesitant in my choice, would offer insight into what might work best, which I truly appreciated. Hilary’s talent for interior decor and furniture layout is unmatched, and she even designed (and commissioned) actual pieces that she envisioned would working best for the space. Ultimately, she came in on budget while truly making the most of the home and turning it in to a truly beautiful and functional space. Everyone who sees it is so impressed! I can’t imagine working with anyone else. I continue to look to her for design guidance and would use and recommend her for any future projects. Highly recommended!
