Almost one year ago we embarked on a major whole-house renovation of our home in Lewes, DE, located on Red Mill Pond. Eventually, we planned to retire in this house. The original home was a very simple pre-fab ranch home, and our goal was to convert it into a cottage style lake home that maximized views of the lake and improved functionality. No surface was untouched, and we ended up with a totally transformed home. This was an enormous task that would not have been possible but for the talents of Zando Designs. We began working on designs 6 months prior to the start of construction. Libby was able to take her keen design sense to transform the bones of the original layout and created the open living plan for which we were looking. During the design process we were able to collaborate very creatively with Libby, incorporating our ideas into the design that we were looking for but could never have materialized on our own. At the conclusion of the design work, we knew we were in good hands for the construction. Construction began in January of 2015 and we were in our new home the week before Labor Day late that summer. In retrospect, this was a fast turn-around considering all that we did to our home. Libby assembled a team of talented contactors whose pride of workmanship showed in the final product. Now that we have had a chance to live with the house, we realize just how much the functionality of the home has improved. We are also thrilled with many of the design details that Libby brought to the project. We are looking forward to working with Libby again on the landscape design and implementation!

We are in the process of a phased renovation of an older home in North Indian Beach that we plan to make our permanent residence. We engaged the services of Zando Designs to reconfigure access to our second floor and third levels. Libby and her team came up with a design and solution that was creative, innovative, and adds much character to our home. We are currently working with Libby in the design and construction of an outdoor shower and rear deck area along with landscaping. Again Libby and her team has exceeded all of our expectations. We would not hesitate to recommend her services!! Looking forward to many more projects with Zando Designs!

Libby worked with us on an extensive plan to redesign our backyard. Working with the small space we have available, she designed a stone block patio area, a deck with an enclosed hot tub, and added a new screened-in porch. Additionally, she designed a full landscaping scheme for the remaining open area. Libby's contractors, who performed what could be called a 'transformation', were professional in every sense of the word and added details and touches that we hadn't expected. Libby 'endured' many iterations of our original plan and gave us a new environment which we believe is the most beautiful in out community. Libby Zando designed and her company installed hardscaping and plantings on our newly built property and exceeded our expectations. She has done a wonderful job and we will be happy to refer her company.

Libby and her team also gave us many ideas that we hadn’t even considered. One of the things we appreciated most was her availability to help us choose many of the details. The workmen and subcontractors were excellent. Having someone who worked so closely with us made all the difference. It is a testament to Libby and her entire staff to be able to say that we truly enjoyed what can often be a difficult process.

Our experience with Zando Designs was focused around the renovation and addition to our colonial home in Lewes,Delaware. Building onto and updating this home was very challenging, requiring detailed planning, great creativity and experienced craftsmanship.
