Local Color Landscape Design

Kara Leong designed my landscape from bare dirt in 2001. I had given zero thought to the hardscape, and my husband and I had very different views about what we wanted. Kara created a functional, cohesive, and beautiful design that endures to this day. My home is on a corner lot and so, has a lot of visual impact in the neighborhood. I'm happy to say that my landscape welcomes me home warmly each and every day.

We hired Kara to completely redesign our backyard. We asked her to fix the old one (which was poorly designed, plant material made no sense AND was high maintenance without the aesthetics), and she came up with a great, practical plan that we could use and was pretty too. It turns out that two other friends of ours hired Kara independently as well; we heard about her through word of mouth. Kara really knows her plants in the area, she's cost conscious and designed with our needs in mind (toddler), and we think she's very talented. When we asked about some element of her design she always had a good reason for it. We also liked her recommendations regarding landscaping professionals, and appreciated her advice throughout the construction process. And lastly, we think her rate is very reasonable and we are very happy that we hired her. In fact, one of the installers for our patio cover (totally separate company - we hired them independently) remarked on how nice our backyard design was - he thought it was one of the best he'd seen especially given the size of the yard).
