Powell Picano bespoke furniture and kitchens

We came across Powell Picano towards the end of a very long and challenging house refurb. John and Ben are very professional, flexible, experienced and friendly. It was so refreshing to work with John - he loves what he does and it shows in beautifully crafted furniture. He came with a number of great suggestions, communicated frequently and clearly. The quality of work is outstanding. Hire those guys - they are really special.

Ealing Common Commision: As part of a complete refurbishment of our home we needed 4 bespoke storage solutions. We wanted a look that would fit in with our MidCentury refurb with cupboards that seemed to float to match shadow gaps, be easy to clean and that had subtle design touches. After meeting with several companies we finally decided to go with John Hannah and his team. They created exactly the look we had been trying to achieve and also came up with ideas that we integrated into the final design. We commissioned: 1 - Floating storage around a midcentury style fireplace to house satellite, DVD with a combination of draws and flip-down cabinets. Integrated LED strip lights added at base. 2 - Floating floor to ceiling storage cabinets with fold out desk. This cabinet was to house cleaning equipment, coat hanging, storage and to cover the electrics for household LED lights. We also had a fold out desk integrated with LED lights and power sockets. 3 - Entrance hall storage cupboard to house more LED circuits for the house and Network equipment. This also created much needed storage for dog leads, hats gloves etc. 4 - Airing cupboard with mirrored doors as is part of dressing room. I would not hesitate to recommend Powell Picano and will use them again.

Having been impressed by the range and quality of work on the Powell Picano website I decided to commission 2 sets of Langham Road built in wardrobes, built in living room box shelving, an oak under-basin vanity unit and a Swedish mid-century style freestanding sideboard. Ben and John were extremely accommodating, easy to deal with and professional all the way through from the quoting stage to the fitting date. The exquisite craftsmanship far exceeded my already high expectations. The quality of finish is quite simply incredible, and each piece is now the focal point of the room it is in. Visitors are astounded by and envious of the work. I look forward to having Ben and John design and craft the kitchen and any other cabinetry I may need in any property I may own in the future!

Powell Picano hand built my kitchen last year. The work was carried out to a very high standard in custom laminated birch ply with corian work-surfaces, and solid oak detailing. It looks beautiful and can be seen on their website. The design was theirs although they were delighted to incorporate my ideas. The work was carried out with a minimum of disruption and they were helpful and courteous at all times. I would highly recommend this company.

Understood precisely what we wanted and were able to design and construct to a very high standard. Would definitely recommend
