Dave and is team listened to our list of goals, helped us bring changing priorities into focus and refined the designs accordingly. The talented crew put heart and soul into crafting and construction our new home, to the extent that the result is not only practical but also a work of art.

Everything about this company is top notch. We have had them design a vacation home, extensively remodel / complete a large addition on our home and build a sauna. Each project turned out beautifully, with all details attended to, on time and on budget. David is a gifted architect that can either create what you are envisioning or come up with ingenious designs of his own if you give him free rein (our favorite way to work with him since he's far more creative that we'll ever be!). His crew are excellent builders with high standards. I even loved that they tidied the work area nightly. Not only are the standards of this company exceedingly high to assure a good work product, but they will not stop until it is just they way that you want it. It is that attention to their clients that makes a project with Design Build Team a rewarding, cooperative venture instead of a chore to endure. I would highly recommend them with no reservations.

Dave listened to our various, sometimes conflicting objectives and continued to work with us until the plan satisfied all needs. We wanted certain spaces included which would accommodate our changing physical capabilities as we age. Those were to be combined with energy saving and solar power design elements. Initial design efforts yielded a result which was too large for our budget, so Dave reworked the plans to meet all the original design requirements within a much smaller footprint. The result meets our needs and was delivered on time and on budget.

Design Build Team created a wonderful home out of a 1950's house that had been remodeled and added onto for years -- all without regard to design or following building codes. Today it is a lovely home (all built to code I might add) that works well for our family as well as entertaining. I enjoy it every day. The DBT crews were great -- and I would recommend them to anyone because they were creative, careful and I did not mind my children being around them at all. They were flexible when unexpected problems occurred -- like the wing that almost fell down because it had not been built to code.

Project consisted of two major phases: (1) remodel of master bathroom and closet and (2) construction of lanai with fireplace on upper deck. Master bathroom and closet included total restructure of existing space including convertion of front study to a full room sized closet and total reconfiguring sinks, shower, and toilet area of bathroom including walk-in open concept, tiled shower, travertine floor, Italian plaster walls, and new distressed, knotty alder cabinets. Lanai included roof enclosed upper deck, with slate flooring, fireplace, large columns, beamed celing, shuttered windows, skylights, new raliings and ballesters, and large circular window above arched front opening. DBT exhibited an incredible attention to detail and craftsmanship, and a unique interpretation of the space.. Project was well-managed, workmen were very professional and friendly, and we were very pleased with the result, and remain so, some eight years later.

The Design Build Team interviewed us, solicited photos and dimensions of specific furniture and paintings that we had, took our desire to build a solar home (passive and active) with a nod toward Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie style, and generated several architectural designs that met our budget and floor plan criteria. Upon approval of the design, they built the house with tremendous attention to detail. One challenge that was met creatively was to place a grand piano on the main floor, but not adjacent to windows or the fireplace. That was accomplished by building the staircase around the piano. Our new reverse story and a half home has a HERS rating of 60, meaning that it is 40% more efficient than a comparable house built to code. I recommend the DBT without qualifications!
