About Us

Charlie Schikowitz has over 15 years of experience and is the third generation of a line of tile installers, having apprenticed to Rudolpho Trischita before mastering his trade and beginning to offer his own services. Charlie takes great pride in his ability to deliver professional quality work at master level focus to meet his commitments to your budget and schedule, and to follow through on his promises. Charlie works out of Kingston, New York where he is a local resident, home owner, and community member.

Charlie did a fabulous job on my kitchen floors! It was a very large and complicated job requiring much leveling of an old house sub-floor and instillation of varying size flagstone 3/4" thick imported limestone tiles. Many installers did not have prior experience with the preparation needed or the laying of this type and size of tile. Not only is Charlie friendly and professional but his work is thorough and beautiful.

Charlie has worked on many projects for my brother and me. We tend to design rooms that have a high-end vintage look. We rely on Charlie to use modern materials and latest techniques to ensure efficient function and a long life. Charlie always manages to deliver. He communicates well and sticks to the agreed schedule. I look forward to completing our next project with him.

Our general contracting company has hired Hudson Valley Tile Installation on several occasions, and always with great results. We were so fortunate to stumble across Charlie at a crucial time in needing a tiler for a client. Not only did he do an amazing job refinishing an existing shower to look brand new, we also found "our' tile guy for all projects going forward. His work is impeccable, he pulled out all stops to make sure the work was done at the time we had available...plus we found out he had previously worked for our client on other projects in the past. Charlie's ability to do the most complicated layouts is incredible. If you want quality work done, look no further and hire Hudson Valley Tile Installation.

Charlies work was spectacular. Attentive and willing to listen, he always found the perfect solution. His work continues to evoke "wows!" and holy cows!" Whenever new people come to our home. I would recommend Charlie most highly for your masonary and construction projects.

Charlie is the one you want for your tile installation. He is efficient and works hard to deliver the best installation possible. We just recently discovered him but have already hired him to work with us for our difficult tile installations. We will definitely be working on more jobs together in the future.
