Steve, Bob, Brenda and the whole crew at Mondo were exceptional to work with through the home building process. As first time home builders the process seemed daunting but Steve was great to guide us through from entertaining our myriad of ideas in the upfront designs, to helping us navigate each step along the way. Everything they do is top quality and I know that not only did we end up with a beautiful home, but it's well constructed and no corner was cut along the way. Delivery was on time and on budget (despite the wild market fluctuations in materials and supply chain issues). Anyone in the Chicagoland area should consider Mondo to build the custom home of your dreams!

He is very knowledgable and gave us great advice on design as well as practical ideas to save money in certain areas of our build. Steve is incredibly organized and has an amazing team! Brenda does a great job with communication and keeping everything organized and on time. I really enjoyed working with Bob, the project manager. Bob is an amazing person to have on site on a daily basis. He is very quick to respond to concerns or changes and does a great job managing all of the contractors. Our build went very smoothly and our home was delivered on time. We have lived in our home for three months and couldn't be happier. Every little thing that we've asked Mondo Builders to fix they have responded quickly and kindly. We are extremely happy with the quality of our home and the service that Mondo Builders continues to provide us. We could not be happier with the home Mondo built for our family. Steve, the builder, was with us from the 1st step and was a large part of the design process. Steve gave great advice on style, layout, and helped us bring our vision to a reality. Brenda, the manager, could not have kept us all on better track and organized. Bob, the contractor, was a joy to work with everyday. Everyone was flexible and patient, but also got our home built quicker than we anticipated. Since we've been in for 2 months, small things (as expected) have needed fixing and the whole Mondo staff has responded immediately. We spoken with other Mondo clients and they all compliment on how well Steve and the staff follow up months, years after you've moved in. Steve's subcontractors were all on time, respectful and experienced. We can't say enough good things about our process. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

Construction is almost complete on our first home and we’re very happy with the job that Mondo builders have done so far. Moving from a high rise apartment in the city, we didn’t know where to begin other than wanting a 4bdrm, 3.5 bath, 3500-3800 sq ft home. Steve and Brenda coached us through the process and managed it from beginning to end. One of the best things about Mondo is how available they are to answer your questions. Morning, evening, weekends, they were always available and there to help. If you judge and organization by its people, Mondo will not disappoint. It takes a meticulous kind of person to organize the hundreds of decisions that need to be made and keep things moving forward. Brenda is that person, she’s phenomenal. Bob the foreman couldn’t be a nicer guy and did an excellent job keeping the project on schedule. Whenever we needed to review something at the house all it required was a text message and he’d be there. We also found ourselves really liking a lot of the subcontractors. You spend so much time with these guys, it makes a difference when they are cool to work with. Last but not least is Steve. The ultimate professional, Steve is what we were looking for in a builder. He demands quality from the subcontractors and is very rational when addressing the painful decisions that inevitably come up. I highly recommend Steve and the team at Mondo. The combination of their customer service and professionalism turned out to be exactly what we were looking for in a builder.

We hired Mondo builders to build our approximately 3500 square foot 4 bedroom / 4.5 bathroom custom home. The home was finished in the spring of 2015. We built a custom, modern Mediterranean home in 2012 and contracted Mondo Builders for the job. Their reference list included every house built to date. That really helped boost my confidence at the onset. During the process, I found Mondo Builders to be extremely responsive, well documented and creative in their problem solving capabilities. There are horror stories about the relationship between builder and owner, but my experience was exactly the opposite. We wanted to be as "green" as possible in our choices of material and in the design of our house.
