You asked us repeatedly to come an hour and 15 minutes to your mountain home to measure for a bathroom that you stated you wanted a lot of design work incorporated into. I advised you then that we were not sure that we would be willing to travel that far for a single project and that our team was rather large and could not all fit into that small space making logistics very complicated. I also advised you that this was the busiest time of year for us and that we were already over committed during the holiday season. I tried to convince you to call someone else, which you refused.

We did drive all the way to your home, which is dangerous to get to with the cliff sides and lack of phone or GPS service late in the evening. Unfortunately, this was not a good fit for us. I tried to explain that to you when you wanted a written estimate during the last call. I had provided you a verbal range that it could be done at, but never confirmed that we would have the time in our schedules to take on a project that far out of our normal working range and it wasn't a room that you planned to use often or wanted to have a lot invested in so it wasn't a project that you really needed a team like ours to perform. You continued to demand a written estimate, which requires my time and energy for a project that we advised you that our team was not comfortable committing to with our current obligations and under your timeline when I have existing kitchens to complete before the holiday who deserve my undivided time and attention.

Just because you want to work with a contracting team doesn't make us the right fit. We have as much control over who we decide to work with as the client does and you were not looking for a service model like what we offer nor is your home in a location that is easily serviceable. I'm not sure how your time was wasted during this process, we made the 4 hour commitment to drive to your home, meet with you and then hold a team meeting to review your project on the Monday that followed. I advised you of the outcome of that discussion and you continued to push. I apologize that you are upset that we declined to work on your project; however, it was the right business decision for our company and I stand behind that decision.

You have had your entire upstairs remodeled, including bathrooms and kitchens, I get the sense that perhaps you had issues with those contractors as well since you were so animate on us providing you an estimate for a job that we were not prepared to accept. You live in a hard area to get to, especially in the Georgia winter weather and I am sorry that you are having such challenges finding a contractor to service you, but I cannot solve that problem. Your attempt to tarnish our business reputation with this review when you are not even a client of ours is quite telling in itself. Fortunately, we clearly made the right decision here.
