As a busy and successful architect specialising in historic building projects, I was delighted to be able to work with Ben when I was asked recently to draw up plans for the conversion of two listed barns in Sussex into a stunning five bedroom home. The design called for a striking mixture of old and new elements and a deep connection to the site exemplified by the use of natural local materials in a modern and environmentally responsive way.
