This is the third time we have worked with Brandon and Dan of Southern Stonescapes. Their work is the best we have seen. They are highly professional, unique in their designs, and stand behind their work. We will definitely use them in the future and strongly recommend them to you.

Southern Stonescapes installed a driveway out of gorgeous stone pavers, rebuilt the stone columns on each side of the driveway entrance, wired and attached lights to the top of the columns and even hung a brand new iron gate that opens/closes at the push of a button! They were extremely professional, communicated every step thoroughly to me and worked extremely hard everyday to make everything perfect and done to the best of their ability and to highest quality. I feel 100% confident if I have have a issue or question they will go above and beyond to help me out.

Hired Southern Stonescapes to replace aging railroad tie retaining wall approximately 450 feet long and varying heights up to 6 feet. They removed the old railroad ties, built the new stone wall with biomesh and added a capstone. This whole process took maybe 2-3 weeks from the beginning of first contact with Dan until completion. Dan and Brandon and their team also installed full irrigation of the property (1/3 acre) that took about 7-8 days (including weekends). Dan and Brandon were always professional and friendly and got the job done. My one word of caution (and this applies to ANY contractor you use) is to make sure you have everything spelled out exactly as you would like things before starting any project. Don't leave any part of the project up to potential misinterpretation. For instance, many companies will bid without cleanup costs in mind. If you want your yard to look a certain way when a job is completed, you'll need to specify that. This is a common approach many contractors take when bidding. Go into the home improvement process with eyes open and ask lots of questions if you don't know something. Dan and Brandon have built a retaining wall that not only looks beautiful, but will be there for quite a long time to come. I would definitely recommend them for your retaining wall / landscaping needs. Thanks, guys!

Brandon and Dan have taken care of our yard for over 30 years. Their work quality is exceptional but what I like most is their professionalism and commitment. They are like Family to us due to the many years of knowing them both. Our yard is always well-maintained throughout all seasons without the added headache of "calling them from time to time when the yard looks bad". They are both very trustworthy and punctual. I couldn't speak more highly of them.

We selected Southern Stonescapes at the annual spring home and garden show in Charlotte after comparing their exhibit and portfolio with the other exhibitors. We wanted to build a "pocket park" with a water feature along the side of our house in front of our screened porch. Dan and Brandon were very creative and attentive to our project objectives. The project was designed and developed with great care with ongoing tweaks made at our direction (often with their suggestions) as we built it out. I recommend Southern Stonescapes enthusiastically and without reservation.
