Huntwood Custom Cabinets

I worked with Cathy R on my kitchen project and she was great. She really listened to all my questions and requirements and was able to provide options to solve problems, and make suggestions about layouts without over whelming me. She has an amazing grasp of the cabinets specifications which meant we could discuss proposed plan changes and cabinet choices in real time, this is a huge bonus when designing a kitchen layout. Small issues after the cabinet install were handled well. 2D diagrams were clear and well presented and used as the design progressed. In hindsight it would have been even more useful if we could have worked with 3D plans at an earlier stage but I don't think think Huntwood had that as an option.

Had my cabinets replaced about 3 years ago by Huntwood Custom Cabinets. I was having some issues with the soft close and brackets. After getting ahold of Greg, he had a very quick response and had someone come out to fix the issue. A young man named Tyler came out this morning and did a very thorough job of checking each and every drawer and cabinet to make sure everything was working correctly, and fixing the soft close problems I was having. I am very impressed with Huntwood Custom Cabinets and the customer service that I received.

Amanda D. from Huntwood helped us pick out the wood and stain to be used on the bathroom vanities and laundry room cabinets. She was very knowledgeable and came to our house to measure for the cabinets. She also checked back with us to make sure everything was the way we wanted. The installers came in and did their work in less than a day. The following day, another gentleman came out to inspect the work and the cabinets. Not a good experience for my first time with huntwood. I came in after a flooding incident to pick out new cabinets. I had an appointment with a designer. I knew exactly the wood and stain I wanted and showed her I wanted my bathroom Vanity just like the one in the showroom (hickory oasis) down to the door style everything. She got my dimensions and we talked about where drawers would be and that all went fine. I trusted that when she sent me the bid that everything we discussed was what we talked about and that she was putting in the same specs as the showroom piece ( as the samples weren’t available everytime i came we went off that since I fell in love with it). Well my cabinet came and everything was what was discussed except the finish. She didn’t put the finish on my order the same finish as the showroom piece nor did we talk in design about finishes or doing something different. I just trusted what she put in and what was on my contract was what we discussed. I didn’t know there were different finishes bc we didn’t go over them and assumed that she’d make it like the piece I told her I wanted it just like. So I get my cabinet and it’s definitely not the same finish as the showroom piece but everything else was ordered correctly. When asking her about it she avoids my questions as to why it’s different and doesn’t acknowledge that she ordered it differently just states that it’s the same as the sample (WHICH I WASNT GIVEN A SAMPLE WE WENT OFF THE FLOOR MODEL). How was I to know the floor model finish was if we didn’t discuss it. I’m frustrated and put off by the lack of acknowledgement of her mistake to order it the way we discussed and to not try and make it right . Update: the designer called me and we had a good talk it seems she misunderstood during the design process and the company offered for me to have the vanity refinished but at my cost as the finish I actually wanted was an up charge which I didn’t pay.

Horrible, horrible experience with Huntwood. Very unprofessional even up to the head Manager Bryan. Was lied to by employee Sean about a bathroom vanity. He said the vanity would fit any sink from Home Depot but that wasn’t the case when we went to install it. When I called to find out why it’s not fitting, Sean said that we were well aware that a custom sink was going to have to be made for this cabinet. He blatantly lied to us. He also never told us it was a clearance item and non returnable. We would of never purchased this vanity if that was the case. Warning to others wanting to go here. Take your money somewhere else. Even the manager I spoke with had no intention of helping me, just kept saying excuse after excuse and just told me the item is non-refundable. I will NEVER return to this awful company. Be advised!!!

We bought 30K worth of cabinets. Doors don't line up correctly. Drawer fronts aren't flush with the cabinet. One of the pull-out shelves came with the hardware broken. It pulls completely out of the cabinet with no stop. We have contacted Huntwood multiple times in the last four months and have gotten no response from them. Stay away.

We would not recommend this company for custom cabinets. Their attention to detail and internal process is sub par. It took 5 months to get our custom built-in cabinets. One of the big issues was matching the paint to our existing trim. The first shipment had incorrect measurements and two different color paint. The second shipment fixed some of the measurements, but another color paint (different from the first colors). The third shipment was the same as the second. Finally had to have them come out and redo multiple cabinets and paint them in our home. It was freezing as the windows needed to be open to air out the house and loud. Left us with most of the work done, but still had to come back and touch up paint and fix caulking. The end product was fine, but I would not go through that again. Do you research and find another company even if your contractor recommends them! Oh, and no "financial compensation" at the end even with all of the times we were put out and had to rearrange schedules. They said their policy states "correcting the issue so that the job is done right" - better have a lot of time open on your calendar to get there.

We had / are having a terrible experience with Huntwood. first of all, the finished product they install is nothing like their showroom. They advertise themselves as a custom cabinet maker, but the reality is they are semi-custom at best. their sub-contractor installer did a terrible job and it took over a month to get basic things like everything being straight and level so we could get our countertops installed. The sales rep / designer, Tony Little, we worked with misled to us about several elements of what we would be getting. He has refused to take responsibility for the issues he created and flat our told us no when we asked to talk to his supervisor. we've tried calling their customer support, but everything gets routed back to the original sales person. we paid over 25,000 for custom cabinets and what we've ended up with is on par with the IKEA cabinets that we put in our rentals only Huntwoods cabinets cost double what we normally pay and our IKEA installers do a better job. we are devastated at the lack of quality and customer service from Huntwood. They required payment in full before the cabinets were even delivered and now are basically ignoring us. I would recommend you go anywhere else if you need cabinets

I purchased $50K+ of cabinets from Huntwood directly. I verified color and was told by their in-house salesperson and on their paperwork that the cabinets would be painted Hardwood. When I recieved the shipment, the cabinets were MDF, the box material was not the 3/4" ply like they state on their website, the drawer material was plywood, I paid for solid. The cabinets were painted the wrong color and they were not only missing toekicks, but came damaged. The boxes were not even built square. When they sent out their paint/service crew to paint onsite they hung the cabinets, and damaged the inside faces of the drawers and then they installed damaged and left. I had to glue the broken face frames and then send them to my painter to fix. They said they would credit me $1500.00 for all the mess of fixing everything, but have ghosted me. I'm a contractor, imagine if you were the homeowner and didn't have the resources to fix these problems which they absolutely did not care to handle!

Vicki, our rep was so helpful and so knowledgeable. She helped me every step of the way and then made sure the installation went smoothly. They were on time with the project and there timeline never changed along the way. The cabinets and island are totally beautiful and I will recommend Huntwood Custom Cabinets to anyone needing cabinets. The work crew were great and the entire experience has been a pleasure!

I’m a Kitchen + Bath Designer/Remodeler and have interviewed over 10 different cabinet companies, and worked with over 5, and “11” seems to be the “charm” Huntwood is by far the best. I guess it pays to “keep looking” Their showroom is gorgeous, and so easy to make selections. Our Sales Rep. Vicki is amazing – so knowledgeable, and her CAD drawings are top notch – BEST, I’ve seen EVER!!!! This makes the process so much easier - then along with fabulous installers Stan and Jason – and Tony – “Finishing Touch” Service Tech – they are such an awesome team! Thank You!

Terrible experience. Ordered one simple vanity that came with incorrect door fronts. Two weeks later door fronts were wrong again. Now waiting four weeks for third attempt at door fronts. Was going to consider them for a kitchen remodel but now we most definitely will NOT.
