Teri Waugh

In the past, I've had bad luck working with designers. Either they completely misread my tastes and are overbearing or, in one case, offered too little guidance. Teri Waugh at Ethan Allen was a perfect balance. It was truly a pleasurable experience working with Teri. After an in-store consultation and one site visit, she put together an ideal plan for my space. The pieces are comfortable and scaled to fit the areas, and, along with the fabrics she chose, are completely me. I could not be happier with the experience or the outcome.

Teri has been wonderful to work with. She came to the house and made color and pattern suggestions that turned out to be just perfect. She was never pushy but gave practical advice for consideration. She stayed in touch and quickly responded to any questions while we awaited our delivery. I look forward to working with her again. She has been a great fit for us.

Teri was very helpful and understood the needs and vision I had for my son's bedroom. I wanted it to ultimately transition into a guest room in a few years, but still look like a "boy's room" while he's in high school. I think that we have succeeded.

I am currently working with Teri to redesign my bedroom, add some color and interest to my living room, and add a sectional to a tight space in my kitchen/family room home addition. I have been pleased with her professionalism and prompt response to my concerns and questions. I also appreciate her attention to detail. When I addressed budget concerns on one portion of the project, she was able to provide less costly options which I greatly appreciated.

We love Ethan Allen and have purchased numerous pieces of furniture through the years. We recently downsized and needed to update our new home. Teri did an outstanding job incorporating our older pieces with some new pieces that transformed our living room and bedroom. Her ideas maximized our limited space and gave us fresh look while allowing us to keep some of our cherished pieces. She listened to our needs and worked with our taste to make our smaller home functional and beautiful. Thanks Teri!

I definitely recommend Teri Waugh, decorator at Ethan Allen. She helped me redo my living room and was very nice to work with. She really listened to what I wanted and was never pushy or made me feel rushed. She was happy to come out to the house and did so several times, at the beginning to see the living room, after the furniture was delivered and again at the end when the rug was delivered and the room was complete. When asked, she was happy to give other suggestions even when it didn't involve Ethan Allen. I bought 2 chairs and a rug from Ethan Allen but had my sofa and loveseat recovered by a separate upholsterer, using Ethan Allen fabric which Teri also helped me select.

Teri has the experience, tact, and flexibility we all wish for in a designer. She is quick at assessing a situation, and guiding customers to a good outcome. With a looming deadline, Teri was responsive and helped us speed the project along so that we might take advantage of a valuable discount. She was quick in sizing up our family room situation, and gave us lots of tips for general and specific improvements. She had wonderful fabric suggestions, and was non judgmental.

Teri was outstanding! We were considering living room furniture from Ethan Allen and when we arrived on a Thursday with a few things in mind she showed us several pieces and offered to come over that weekend to provide the complimentary design service. She then presented us with several ways to layout the room, paint suggestions and arm chairs that would compliment the room with several fabric swatches. Having her insight on how to set up the furniture was especially invaluable because she provided a design that we never would have thought of and it works perfectly! Attached is a photo of the room without the chairs yet, but wanted to be sure others could see her great work. We will absolutely reach out to Teri again for our master bedroom remodel!

We are very pleased with the design and pieces Teri chose for our average family room. She stayed within our budget and made lots of helpful suggestions to us to help stretch our dollars. My favorite things - the two leather ottomans. Cute, square, matching - I never would have thought of them. They double as extra seating when needed. Teri helped us figure out what would be just right for us - and it is! I will go to her an Ethan Allen again for the quality, service, experience, style and patience! Just ordered another end table last week.

This was our first time to ever work with a designer and Teri was amazing and so professional. She really listened to what we desired for our family friendly living room with three young kids and a dog. She took that info. and offered amazing suggestions and options. We felt she listened to what was essential to our needs but at the same time was able to help direct us to take some risks - two unique rugs that make the room- that ended up being the best parts of the whole room. She had an amazing sense of style and color by giving us time to determine paint colors all the way down to pillow fabrics. She was very professional but also very down to earth and helpful with all of our many questions. She even helped us to mark exactly where to hang our new art work and drapes. She made us feel confident and comfortable throughout the entire process. We really appreciated her helping with determining what kind and size of sofa options and working from there to complete a room we now enjoy greatly thanks to her talents! We will definitely seek to work with her again on future projects as she was patient, available and giving of her time and gifts as a designer. Thank you Teri!

I have had the pleasure of working with Teri on various projects including the master bedroom, dining room and window treatments throughout my home. She is very creative and and is great with incorporating new with existing pieces in order to stay on budget. Teri's greatest strength is that she is a wonderful listener. She listens to my vision for the space and always takes into account my growing family to create beautiful spaces that will grow with the needs of my family. I have referred her to multiple friends over the years who have loved her work as well. Overall I have been consistently pleased with Teri's work and look forward to working with her again in the future.

Teri has been absolutely amazing to work with. I have designed by entire home using Teri's designs. I love it and most people say it looks nicer than a model home. She has learned our likes and dislikes and challenges us to go outside of our comfort level. I will continue to recommend Teri to my friends and family.
