L&L Landscaping, Design - Build

I highly recommend L & L Landscaping. Owners Bruce and Ross provided outstanding design and build services resulting in a dramatic change to our property. We were particularly pleased with the excellent communication we had with the Architect/Project Lead - Ross. He paid specific attention to our goals, provided sound advice, and was always available to address any questions or concerns. We also commend L & L Landscaping for employing highly-competent people whose attention to detail resulted in a beautifully landscaped property.

One of the best decisions we made hiring L&L Landscaping for our landscape project. They are very honest and are committed to providing the best customer service. The quality of work is unbeatable.

After meeting with a few contractors I decided to hire L&L for a complete front and backyard renovation. This was a large project including design, tear out and build. I had a couple of initial meetings with Bruce and explained our vision which included a sport court, fire pit, hot tub, large patio, outdoor TV, built-in BBQ and patio cover. Bruce had some great suggestions and the vision was then turned over to Ross for design. Ross drew up a fantastic design plan that was on point with what we wanted. Throughout the process both Bruce and Ross were prompt at responding to my questions and listening to our needs. All the crews that showed up were respectful and easy to deal with. We had several change orders throughout the process which they accommodated and didn't overcharge me on. I would hire them again and I would recommend them to anyone looking to improve their landscaping.

L&L Landscaping exceeded our expectations with our complete backyard remodel. They were on time and on budget while even completing some tasks that were not covered on the original bid. They made great suggestions on items we didn't originally consider. Although we were anxious to get it completed and start enjoying our yard, their attention to detail and care in doing the job right made the wait worthwhile. We ended up with a "resort-like" backyard completed with outdoor kitchen, fire pit and a large lawn and couldn't be happier. We have recommended Ross and Bruce to 2 of our neighbors and they have contracted their services with equally satisfied results.

We just finished our project with L&L and couldn't be happier. Ross and Bruce are the perfect compliment to each other and are great to work with. They listened to our ideas, worked with us on every detail, quickly responded to any concerns or questions and ultimately provided us with the backyard we desired. Overall, the process was great and we highly recommend L&L.

L&L did an amazing job bringing my contemporary vision to life. Their hard work totally transformed my limited outdoor space through bold concrete forms and custom decking. L&L hearty and drought tolerant plant selections have created an enjoyable, beautiful space which requires almost zero maintenance.

After a long and difficult planning and installation process, we were initially happy and relieved once our project was completed. Unfortunately, some problems started to arise a couple of years later, many not until much later. So, although we hired them so long ago, I wish we had reviews based on how their work held up! We thought spending more with L&L would be money well invested but we spent so much more later to correct problems. We were new to the area and relied on their expertise with our newly built home on a 1/2 acre. The first issues were just poor plantings, with quick overgrowth in large areas, short lived plants in others, requiring us to replant most of the yard within 3 years. We thought it was due to our hilltop location, but the replacement plants we selected and planted ourselves did well. The worst issue was cracking in a corner of our pool decking where we found tiles continued to pop off even after numerous repairs. An engineer's report faulted L&L's design of the spa and heavy decking near the edge of our hillside. Repair would be too great a cost. Working with these guys turned out to not be good either. We were understanding when they delayed our project quite a while due to a serious health issue. We were accommodating with minor errors in the plant design and installation, as well as when hardscape and plant materials were not available on installation day. Yet, when we wanted minor corrections or preferred to wait for the right materials instead of using whatever was available, we were blamed for the delay! FEB 2017: HERE'S YOUR RESPONSE, L&L: You posted my personal contract here and Houzz had you remove it as it is AGAINST THEIR PRIVACY POLICY, yet you reposted it a month later! Now I would add UNETHICAL to the list of reasons to not recommend you. And here you are again, disregarding our wishes and BLAMING us for YOUR poor work. I posted this review after so many years because a recent reviewer complained of similar treatment and I wanted others to know YOU HAVEN'T CHANGED! We used YOUR DESIGN and only YOUR RECOMMENDED CONTRACTORS to install the hardscape and pool. Contrary to your efforts to blame us or them, our engineer's report cited YOUR POOR POOL DESIGN, not the installation or materials, or the upkeep of our property. And now I will have to contact the Houzz team AGAIN about your violation of my privacy!

I worked with L&L a number of years ago when I was starting out as a designer. I am so happy to see on Houzz that their creative, high quality work continues and is better than ever! When I worked with Pete and Bruce at L&L I experienced not only their commitment to customer service, but the level of creativity and passion they have for their work and their absolute dedication to quality installation. We had a challenging project! I wanted a high end tropical oaisis in a small 10 foot backyard. Working together with Ross, I ended up with the talk of the neighborhood. They were attinative, clean, and able to produce the end result in a timely manner. We were very pleased!

Bruce and Ross were wonderful professionals to work with! My office landscape and design gets so many compliments from my patients--it is warm and inviting! My home has had landscaping and a patio area in front --I can watch the deer and the wildlife. The backyard also has had some nice additions to it. This is a company I would highly recommend!

Ross was great to work with. We met several times, he listened to what we had in mind for our front yard, and came through with an on-budget, beautiful plan. Start and finish dates were almost exact. All the contractors were respectful, worked really hard and left a clean front yard at the end of each day.

L&L did a fantastic job! Ross listened to what was important to us and came up with a great design that we just love. The process was smooth and professional. They kept us informed of project dates and deliveries and the crew was just excellent. We love our new backyard and we always get great comments every time we have guests over. I would highly recommend L&L to all my friends.
