Verdant Architecture

As an architect and designer, I have had the opportunity to work with Teakwood Builders on several projects dating back to 2008; the first of which was a renovation of a very old lake house, and the most recent, a single family contemporary new construction project. Both projects had their unique challenges, and Teakwood Builders met them with a positive, creative, and cost effective approach. New construction or renovation, complete home or simple interior upgrades, they take every project very seriously, always keeping the client's best interests in mind. They understand the delicate balance between cost and quality and work diligently to find creative ways to streamline cost without sacrificing quality.

My wife and I strongly recommend Teakwood Concierge for smaller customized restoration/renovation projects. The wonderful wooden staircase of our 1922 bungalow was in need of restoration but our initial contractors weren't giving it the love and care we thought it deserved. Fortunately several friends of ours steered us to Chris and his team, who spent considerable time up front and during the project to ensure we were on the same page throughout. The staircase is a centerpiece of bungalows and I was particular about matching the house's original finish; Chris took the time to explore options with us and find a solution. The result is a beautiful, restored staircase that is cleaner, smoother, and still harmonizes with the house history. We plan to work with Chris and Teakwood again.

My husband and I cannot say enough positive things about working with Teakwood. Teakwood finished our basement, including installing a full bathroom, bedroom, play room, and living room. Our basement came out so great that it is nicer than the rest of our home! Working with Thad, Joel, and the rest of the Teakwood staff was seamless and even enjoyable! Our biggest regret is that we did not encounter Teakwood until after our home was built. My husband and I both can't wait to move in the future just so that we can have Teakwood build our home. In addition to this project, we have felt more comfortable working with Teakwood than the builder who built our home. We have run into several issues with our home and have contacted Teakwood to come fix these issues because we know they will do a great and thorough job, and are so easy to work with. I do not have a single critique and honestly cannot say enough positives about our experience. The ideal company, great to work with and the best quality around.

We can’t thank Jim and team enough for our beautiful kitchen and master bathroom renovation. Their craftsmanship is superior and the details (big and small) are gorgeous and noteworthy. We wanted something that was a mix of rustic with a nod to the Adirondacks but with a mix of modern and traditional elements. Teakwood went above and beyond and literally “nailed it” with a design that fit our family – elegant, functional and incredibly stylish. They were a pleasure to work with and kept on us track. We look forward to future partnerships with Teakwood.

We have completed multiple remodeling projects with Teakwood over the last 10 years. In all cases Teakwood took great pains to accommodate the daily life of our family while still creating a phenomenal end product. All members of the teams were extremely respectful. Jim Sasko has a great design eye, quickly converting our style into "doable" construction plans; on target with his quotes; and allowances are accurate so I never went over budget, still getting a stunning, high-end final look. We receive compliments on our home literally every time someone comes to our home. And even years down the road if an issue pops up, Teakwood continues to warranty their product speedily. I couldn't recommend Teakwood more!
