Planet 3 Studios is a young, internationally award winning design & design-build studio currently engaged in high-end architectural, interiors & product design projects in India. The essence of their way is to address the fundamentals through intense programming, offer solutions that balance wit and wisdom, keep it fresh and never lose the visual appeal. In partnership with Santha, Kalhan heads Planet 3 Studios Architecture, a young, internationally acclaimed practice at the vanguard of avant-garde design in India. Their eclectic portfolio of built projects includes path breaking architecture, interiors, product design and art. Recognized with over thirty one prestigious international and national awards, their work has been displayed at museums and galleries in New York, Barcelona and Singapore. They use intense programming and address fundamentals by staying focused on the context, the constraints and the opportunity that a project presents. Planet 3 Studio advocates solutions that are intuitive, equitable, flexible, experimentally satisfying, conforming to codes, environmentally sensitive and importantly, vehicles of positive change. Most often the Studio’s foray into new design opportunities result in path breaking ideas that bring about a paradigm shift in established thought.
