We recently had the opportunity to design and build our new home with McSpadden Custom Homes. This is the 5th home we have built and it was the best experience we have ever had. The McSpadden team is made up of all pros. From design, to house placement, to construction and through issue resolution the team is simply world class. The quality and beauty of their homes speak for themselves but what sets the McSpadden team above the rest is how they treat during and after the build process. The team is always available to help answer your questions and to resolve any concerns that occur while building a custom home.

The thing I love about McSpadden aside the fact that they build exceptionally good quality homes is that they don't wash their hands of your building once the keys are handed to you . They remain very involved in the maintenance of the house . We still have our project manager on speed dial and he answers every single call . I truly admire their work ethic. I like to say that a home is a living organism and when the creative energy starts flowing the real fun begins. Doug McSpadden, and Travis Peeler, a great superintendent may see me, Melodie Durham, the interior designer walking up to the house and think, "oh no. Here comes trouble," but we always manage to execute the visions I've instigated with the homeowner and McSpadden's team makes it all work together seamlessly. My job is to provide concept to completion design for the client While upholding the integrity and philosophy of McSapdden Homes. . This last project was a large estate built in a Cape Cod Style and took 18 months to complete. I was involved with every aspect of the building process as well as soft goods, such as furnishings and window treatments. The McSpadden team appreciates how important it is to encourage the home owner to being an interior designer to the table learning in planning. We hired McSpadden Custom Homes to remodel a room and update our foyer in our 11 year old home. Every aspect of the project was done in a professional and thoughtful manner resulting in a remodel that is better than we could have imagined. Doug, and his lead foreman, Chris, listened carefully to our "want" list. They were knowledgeable yet flexible enough to incorporate our ideas into the plan. They crafted a beautiful room, for our new piano, with coffered ceilings and gorgeous wainscoting and new hardwood flooring. They transformed our plain foyer to a space that has a new, undeniable "Wow" factor with miles of wainscoting and new molding. Every member of the team, from the expert trim carpenters to the painters were respectful and careful with our property. The effort they made to keep the dust and chaos out of the other parts of the house was extraordinary. It was amazing that in such a short time, Doug, Chris and their crew could transform these two spaces into rooms that are beautiful beyond our expectations. Working with the McSpadden Custom Homes team was a complete joy for us. We built a home on Lake Wylie where we could retire and were meeting the needs of a daughter who was in a wheelchair. Doug did everything possible to help make the entire house handicapped accessible with wide doors, a level entry from the garage and an elevator to reach the lower level. We built a traditional Williamsburg style home and he added lots of special touches to every room. He met all of the deadlines and our home was completed right on time.
