The entire Big Valley team did an outstanding job on our new home. Troy, the owner, was very helpful at the beginning of our project, meeting us at our land and giving us recommendations on placement, type, etc. He recommended an awesome architect (Brian Adams of APEX architecture out of Steamboat Springs, CO) as well. Once the plans were set, we were assigned a terrific project manager and an outstanding site foreman for our job. Mike Dixon, our project manager kept us posted every step of the way, he was extremely knowledgeable on every aspect of our job, and was very responsive to our many phone calls and emails. Greg Gardner, our site foreman ensured all the details were taken care of, and because we were in a different state, Greg uploaded pictures two or three times a week so we could monitor the progress from 1,000 miles away. Greg addressed every concern we had quickly and efficiently, and brought to our attention on more than one occasion odd elements that after talking it out and looking at pictures, we were able to "tweak". Everyone at Big Valley is extremely professional, and the knowledge of the building process from soup to nuts is outstanding. They started the build on time and ended on time. While we were one of their smaller projects, they were still very conciencenous about our budget and addressed every concern we could have ever had. Every time we visited the job site, whether it was planned or not, the site was very very clean, which said a lot to us. Their trades produce the highest quality work as well - corners are mitered with precision, the tile work is perfect, the wood floors are perfect, the lighting and electrical was installed just as we wanted it. I would highly recommend Big Valley Construction to anyone looking to build a high quality custom home.

My husband and I found our dream property in our dream town and were very blessed to find Big Valley Construction to make that dream come to life. I knew from the first phone call with the office, thanks Christine, and the first meeting in the office with Troy they were the right people for the job. From start to finish Big Valley Construction is by far the most knowledgeable, professional and friendly company in Grand County! They know the ins and outs of getting things done and all the right contractors to do it. I was pleased with everyone I came in to contact with and appreciated all the Big Valley people I worked with, Greg, Rob and the entire Big Valley Family. Yes, they are like a family and they made me feel like I was part of the family! I could call anytime with questions or changes or just to check in on the progress and never felt like I was a bother. My wish was to be on site as much as possible, to watch my dream being built, and they welcomed me without question making this experience top notch for me!!! Again, we are over the moon with the outcome of our "Dream" home and all the people who took place in making that happen! We interviewed 4 different construction companies prior to selecting Big Valley Construction and we could not have been happier with our choice! Fantastic local knowledge and the best relationships in the mountains with their vendors and sub contractors. I could not have known how important that was at the time but after completing a build I understand how important that is. They kept a very open and honest dialogue during the quoting process and we remained on schedule throughout the build. The craftsmanship if their work is top shelf and the creativity of the staff both on site and in the office came in handy more than once with a beautiful home as a result.
