AJ Design Studio is one of the best architects that I have ever worked with. As a general contractor I really appreciate how quick she is to respond to questions in the field. Her ability to capture the perfect design for a view lot is rare. She takes time to listen to the client and design what makes sense for the lot, size of the house and desired budget.

I have worked with Agnieszka for the past five years for four new builds here in Paradise Valley AZ. I would highly recommend AJ Design Studios she does amazing designs. I have been more than satisfied with her work.

It was a pleasure working with Agnieszka. She was very creative in her design work and impressively collaborative in the ways she listened to and incorporated our ideas while making them better. We were very pleased with the resulting plan. For reasons completely unrelated to that, however, we ended up moving to a location 75 miles away and buying an existing home there.

Agnes at AJ Design Studio is great to work with. From the beginning of our project of building a new custom home in Arcadia from the ground up, she was always available, listened to what we wanted and then designed a beautiful house for us. After the initial design was completed, we felt we needed to make some changes to accommodate our changing thoughts on what we felt we wanted the final product to look like. Agnes was great in redesigning and offered some great ideas that we had not thought about. During construction, she was on the job examining various details and making sure that everything was being done per plans. Her attention to detail was outstanding, and the sub contractors commented on how much they liked her keynotes and designs, as they were easy for them to read and understand. This is no small feat, as often there can be misinterpretations that can lead to major headaches. Agnes always met our timetable for anything we asked for. She is honest, works very hard and is very creative, as well as having a long and broad history of experience in designing custom homes. We were referred to Agnes (Angieszka) by our builder (Gary Fries of G.S.Fries Construction) and we are very grateful for his recommednation because the two together are wonderful. AJ Design Studio provides excellent follow through and custom attention. I was very nervous about the design and building process. I felt overwhelmed and unclear and wanted badly for an calm expert to hear my thoughts and make from them my vision. Agnes read my mind! She picked up on our style and preference and breathed life into our dreams in ways I was so delighted and surprised by. I felt that after the very first meeting she knew what was important to us and translated those ideas into a structure. I had mentioned quitely only once my wish to have a center courtyard and hadnt realized even as I said it and a hundred other details how much that courtyard creates the heart of our future home. Agnes heard something in the way I said it because the first drafts had this feature and the hundred other details and I KNEW we had an excellent architect. She has the ability to capture her clients tastes and to create a home that suits them in ways they couldn't describe. THAT has made the process just such a delight. Her careful and professional attention is excellent and she has coordinated a seemless process and we cannot wait to see this home birthed. She has worked great with the landscaper and had facilitated well the other structural elements. She has been excellent with the community review for approving our design. She has been 100% available for questions and offered perfect advice on elements of design. My house will always mean many things to me and my family but that someone helped us with their skills and talent and ears and heart makes me so delighted to live it in and call it home. Agnes is very gifted and deserves our highest recommendations for being simply in love with the process of listening and constructing extensions of people. Thank you for our first build. Agnieszka of AJ Design Studio designed our current home. She was very professional. She completed the job in a very short time and was able to transpose our dreams onto paper perfectly. The house is everything we hoped for and after living in it for 4 years we are still completely satisfied. Currently we are working on our next project with her.

AJ provided design and construction documentation for a new build. She was enthusiastic about the project, consistently providing valuable feedback and assistance and direction on-site whenever needed. Response time was always immediate and any construction issues were resolved with attention to design and expense.

We had a 30-year old, outdated, 5568 sq ft single-story home with wonderful "bones" that we wanted fully remodeled/renovated and transformed into a beautiful european-like home. Agnes came highly recommended by a coworker who completed a remodel project and were extremely impressed with her work. After meeting and interviewing several reputable architects, we chose Agnes with AJ Design Studio because of her dual European and American experience and because of her architectural talents of thinking outside the box. In addition, her honesty, down to earth personality, and great humor made her a real delight to work with. With every large or small project, and especially with a remodel, no matter how organized, there can be unforeseen problems/complications that can occur and that is when you really want highly experienced, knowledgeable, calm and easy to communicate with professionals in your corner, fully supporting you, and coming to good resolutions. We felt that AJ Design Studio provided that during our entire project. In addition, after the project was completed, AJ Design Studio has been readily available for questions/concerns, a crucial feature that is almost equally important as during the project, in providing good ongoing customer service! We have been working with AJ Design Studio for the past six years and would not think of using anyone else to design our custom homes. Agnes' designs are beautiful and my customers love her work. AJ Design: an exceptionally talented architect that we recommend as a gem to work with !! We hired AJ Design Studio based on a recommendation from our builder. We'd interviewed other architects, and were initially swayed by one major difference... Agnes (Agnieszka) asked questions, and LISTENED and HEARD our responses. She presented what we (thought) we wanted, and demonstrated the ways and reasons for improvements. Throughout the design process we always felt that Agnieszka represented our interests. She was considerate of our lifestyle and budget parameters. Our homesite is in a development with stringent regulations, she made herself familiar with the demands and oddities of those regulations, which made the process of approval much easier. With her thorough and professional manner she was able to guide us through the HOA requirements and, most importantly, deal with the HOA, and later the city building department, in a cooperative, rather than adversarial manner. (This might seem a minor point, but if you speak with homeowners you will find that having a architect that is at odds with the HOA regulators and/or city approval departments, can result in major aggravation, delays, and expense.) Agnes made herself readily available to us throughout the process, and adhered to all schedules. She came to our meetings prepared with research, recommendations and alternatives... and challenged us to evaluate our needs, wants and whims. She listened to whatever 'outlandish' ideas we might present, and calmly reminded us of our budget, HOA/city regulations, and the impracticality of some of our suggestions... while gaining an understanding of what we wanted so she could make design provisions that accomplished what we'd wanted. Our property was in the desert foothills, and presented many obstacles and opportunities. Agnes paid careful attention to the details of elevations, sunrise, sunset and scenic views when positioning the house and windows. She maximized use of space with her placement of rooms, walls, corridors, and incorporating outdoor transitions. Since we are in a climate that lets us enjoy the outdoors all year round, designing outdoor space was also important. Agnes' design provided a variety of spaces, large and small, which were an extension of indoor living areas. We had wanted outdoor living/entertaining spaces that could be used as a natural extension of the indoors. Agnes presented that to us in useful and inventive design and placement of patios on both the first and second floors. We spent many, many months working with Agnes, and the resulting 8000 sf house is a fabulously charming livable home, both inside and out. We felt her pricing very fair, and would have no reservations about either recommending her or working with her again.

AJ Design Studio From concept to completion AJ Design Studio was hands on. They payed attention to our suggestions and made them come to life. It was so nice to have a design Studio that made our home what we wanted it to be, not their own design concept. This was a 2 1/2 year custom home design/build project that had a project manager on site everyday. Including the hanger there is over 25,000 square feet under roof. AJ Design Studio was with us ever step of the way. I am a general cotractor that has built over 20,000 homes in the phoenix area over the past 30 years.
