“We have hired Laura for several jobs in our yard, including building a 3-section compost bin with removable slats, an enclosure for our vegetable garden, and a very large fence enclosure for our dogs. The projects were done a few years ago, and there has been no deterioration at all in the materials, even with the rather severe weather we have had. Laura was always punctual, communicated clearly with us, worked very hard for long days, and completed her work without requiring any supervision or additional instruction. She is careful to use materials that are environmentally safe. Her work is of the highest quality; even other contractors seeing her work have commented on how well done the projects have been.”

“Garden Architecture worked with my wife and I to redesign everything outside the walls of our house. The work included a driveway, walks, two entrances, patio, pond, firepit, retaining walls, stormwater management (two rain gardens and an underground surge tank), site lighting and plantings. I am an architect so brought some of my own ideas to the project, good and bad. Kirsten was a great collaborator and a delight to work with. She is knowledgeable about the technical aspects of the work and a creative designer, for our project doing everything from addressing tricky grading and drainage problems to creating a beautiful environment in which we now happily spend as much time as possible.”

“I have worked with Amy's Garden Design in a number of capacities. I have an interior design business and I have referred clients to Amy's Garden Design services who have been extremely pleased with the professionalism, the creativity of the designs, the flexibility of the options and budgets with which they are able to work with, and most importantly work the quality, beauty and value of the garden work including the design of both hard and soft scapes. Another example of their professionalism and superior quality and service they have consistently provided was with the Catonsville's Chamber of Commerce who has contracted with Amy's Garden Design for the past few years to design, plant and maintain all of the planters throughout downtown thoroughfare. “We hired Woodfield Landscaping to do an outdoor bar and a pizza oven. We have had many bad experiences with contractors over the years so we initially we hesitant to undertake such a big project at the house. Woodfield has renewed our faith that good contractors exist. They worked non stop from start to finish and even on Saturdays. The stone work was flawless and far more beautiful than I could ever hope for. The lightening at night is just remarkable. We received their name from a co-worker who had the exact same experience with a project even bigger than ours. Out if the dozen contractors we have had at the house over the years they are the only ones we would recommend.”

“We had a excellent relationship working with Doug and his crew. Fernhill had built a large retaining wall for our yard last year. We were more than pleased with the quality and detail in the work. We then decided to hire Fernhill for a complete redo of both our front and back yards. The project included a small retaining wall in the front, a large flagstone patio and fire pit in the back yard, planting and lighting. Doug's attention to our project and his crew's professionalism were constant from start to finish. They were timely and finished the job within the given time frame. They left each day only after cleaning up and leaving the areas they were working on neat, clean and tidy. We gave Doug the freedom to create a design that would make our yards look great and couldn’t be more pleased with his excellent and unique design. We appreciated his eye for detail and the personal touches throughout the project. We would highly recommend hiring this company.”
