“A WIN/WIN SOLUTION: ONE GORGEOUS MULTILEVEL PATIO I had spent three years shopping for a landscape design firm, and had narrowed it down to three firms. I had some idea about my patio, stone work, and layout. It was a multi level project with several entrances and exits. John and his team came through for us at every point in the project. He was generous with his time, creative with his solutions, thoughtful and damn good. We had some difficult terrain issues he was able to navigate. His work crew were polite, cleaned up after themselves and took every step to insure I was happy with the project as it went along. John and crew had some great suggestions for placement of newly found boulders with the excavation, and made excellent use of both granite and blue stone I had from the old patio. His price was not the lowest, but it was more than fair and considering the final outcome it was a bargain. He started and finished on time. What more could I ask?”

“Extremely professional and talented. Landscaping designs (hardscaping & plantings) are smart & reasonable. Encyclopedic knowledge of trees, shrubs and perennials!! Very friendly, outgoing personality. Truly enjoyed working with Irene in every way. Design was for entire side yard and back yard that included new retaining walls, patio re-dos (small & large) with natural stone, re-working available spaces to incorporate vegetable as well as flower gardens, seating areas, work areas. I cannot recommend Irene highly enough!”

“Five years ago we built an off-grid house on a new site. Larkspur Design worked with us to envision what the gardens could be and implemented a beautiful design. Five years later the grounds are stunning: the changing colors and textures throughout the seasons are always a pleasure, the gardens are easy to maintain, and we couldn't be more pleased. “Jack and his crew have been servicing my lawn for 3 summers now. Last summer I wanted to have a complete update to the landscaping at my house. “The driveway and front lawn at our new home was a mess. The house was built in 1934 and had a tar drive that was pocked and heaved from age and the many trees that had grown around the home over the years, the original concrete walkway which was broken, split and heaved, and a brick walk which had collapsed. Rick came and worked with us to develop a plan to remove all the old materials and replace everything with new, permeable pavers. He and his crew pulled out all the old tree trunks and roots which were buried in the front yard (we counted 5!), pulled up the old brick walk and driveway, dug a drainage pit under the driveway to direct the water away from the house, and installed the most beautiful driveway and walk! The front of our home is now stylish, inviting and the talk of the neighborhood. Rick and his crew were respectful of our home and neighborhood, and kept the cleanest worksite I have ever seen. I would highly recommend Rick for his design abilities, collaboration, insight and work ethic. He is one of the best!”

“We worked with Peter Burke on a plan for our cottage landscape. He listened to our needs and limitations and presented a very creative plan that combined both traditional cottage elements and modern design ideas. We began implementing the plan in the Spring and Summer of 2014 with the stacked stone wall and landing pads at the foot of our stairs. We will continue implementation into the next year. We could not be more pleased with Peter's work, his aesthetic and his focus on our project. His project partners did an excellent job as well and Peter tracked their work throughout the project. I would add that the bulk of our work together was done long distance using email and Pinterest for collaboration, as this is our second home. His responsiveness to us was exceptional and his communication very good. We highly recommend his firm and would work with him again.”
