“Rob and his crew did an excellent job revitalizing our backyard with new sod after a large tree fell in a recent storm and caused extensive damage in our backyard. Rob met with me personally to review what we wanted and turned around a quick estimate that he was able to work with me on based on our budget. Rob's Project Manager, Mike, did a great job of getting all the work done in a day while being sensitive to my wife at home on maternity leave with an infant. Rob talked to me after the sod install was complete to make sure everything was completed to satisfaction and give me sod care and watering instructions. I can say that Lenhoff's Landscaping did a better job that we could have anticipated, and they did a great job of cleaning up afterwards to make it seem like they were never there and we've had a beautiful lawn all along! This was likely a small job for their company, but they certainly made it seem like an important job nonetheless. Thank you!”

“We worked with Garden Gate on two major yard renovation projects, in summer 2008 and fall 2010. From concept to completion, the entire team and experience, led by designer Cathy Carr, was first rate. I would describe us as "involved" clients and our input and feedback was welcomed throughout--including thoughtful understanding of parts of the project we wished to plant ourselves. The 2010 project involved many moving parts, including removal of existing concrete/asphalt driveway, stormwater flooding mitigation, installation of flagstone patio, water feature, stone steps and driveway pavers, as well as plant installation. When the following spring thaw revealed water seepage issues, they returned without hesitation to reroute drainage and solve the problem. The projects have transformed our outdoor living space and bring us great joy as we spend lots of time outside with family and friends.”

“Best Landscape and Construction have done 4 jobs for me. The first job was removing a long driveway and sidewalk and replaced it with permeable pavers. He had to work with the county for rebates they were offering. He made that easy. When it turned into more work than was anticipated, he did not come back wanting to raise the price. On the other jobs he was very helpful offering ideas on how to achive what I needed. They always arrived on time and did what they promised. His workers are always friendly. He has certifications that are helpful in achiving your goals. They are always my go to company for landscape or outside work.”

“I have worked with Amy's Garden Design in a number of capacities. I have an interior design business and I have referred clients to Amy's Garden Design services who have been extremely pleased with the professionalism, the creativity of the designs, the flexibility of the options and budgets with which they are able to work with, and most importantly work the quality, beauty and value of the garden work including the design of both hard and soft scapes. “We have hired Laura for several jobs in our yard, including building a 3-section compost bin with removable slats, an enclosure for our vegetable garden, and a very large fence enclosure for our dogs. The projects were done a few years ago, and there has been no deterioration at all in the materials, even with the rather severe weather we have had. Laura was always punctual, communicated clearly with us, worked very hard for long days, and completed her work without requiring any supervision or additional instruction. She is careful to use materials that are environmentally safe. Her work is of the highest quality; even other contractors seeing her work have commented on how well done the projects have been.”

“Garden Architecture worked with my wife and I to redesign everything outside the walls of our house. The work included a driveway, walks, two entrances, patio, pond, firepit, retaining walls, stormwater management (two rain gardens and an underground surge tank), site lighting and plantings. I am an architect so brought some of my own ideas to the project, good and bad. Kirsten was a great collaborator and a delight to work with. She is knowledgeable about the technical aspects of the work and a creative designer, for our project doing everything from addressing tricky grading and drainage problems to creating a beautiful environment in which we now happily spend as much time as possible.”
