“Christy designed the kitchen, bathroom and closet for my remodel, as well as much much more. Working on the layout, functionality and esthetics. She is intuative, creative and extremely talented. She listened and understood what I wanted and then improved upon that vision dramatically creating a flawless and beautiful result. Working with her was a wonderful experience and I would hire her again with out a second thought. She won a few CotY awards with this project and it was well deserved!”

“We purchased a house built in the mid 70s that hadn't been touched since the mid 70s. We've spent the last four years fixing up almost every room in the house, and the kitchen was the last room we had left. While we were happy with the other rooms, we weren't excited about the contractors we had used to complete the jobs. Going into the kitchen remodel we were half expecting another average experience, but the final product is exactly what we wanted. We are very pleased with how our kitchen turned out. I love everything about it. The job was completed within the timeframe quoted and on budget. There were a few hiccups here and there, but they were all addressed and resolved timely and efficiently. All of the crew - Roy, Troy and Apollo are very friendly, responsive and responsible. I would recommend them to anybody looking to remodel their kitchen.”

“Barrett Crisco of Best Austin Handyman is the best in the business. I have been working on remodeling projects for 20 years, so I am quite familiar with all aspects of the work involved. I have worked on 4 family homes, two downtown condo complete remodels and one duplex remodel. Through the years I have worked with many contractors and I have to say Best Austin Handyman is the best of the best. For me they have done a complete roof, skylights, soundproofing and most recently an expansive spectacular deck overlooking Zilker Park. You name it, they can do it. There have been times I have changed my mind mid stream on a project and this company simply takes it in stride. Their goal is just aiming to please. Quotes are fair and most importantly they show up the day they say they will and do their best to complete jobs in the time quoted. 6 star rating for them if it were possible.”

“The Katz Builders team is very professional. We have worked on dozens of projects together over a span of over 25 years (my firm draws the plans and Katz does the construction) and every one of my clients who has used Katz for the construction project has been very pleased with quality, professionalism and service. The level of personal attention and care they provide is unparalleled. In one remodel, for instance, they painstakingly removed the original wood casing from doors and reinstalled it after the remodel was finished. Their tile installer did my own floors and I was extremely impressed with how carefully he and his lead installer planned the layout to make sure that the tile was centered on several different axes as well as ensuring no small slivers of tile at edges and other subtle things I would never have noticed had they done it incorrectly. If something "doesn't seem right" about plans we have provided, the Katz team always call to make sure they get it right rather than "winging it" in the field risking misinterpretation of our intent. They have used many of the same sub-contractors the entire time I have known them which means to me that they have loyal sub-contractors and you will get consistent and high quality results from them. And, once again, I want to mention that in all these years I have not once had a homeowner come back to me and complain about them as their builder. That is very rare in this business.”

“Tier 1 has managed a number of projects at our home in Austin. These have included rehabbing the master bath, re-insulating the attic, replacing A/C units, configuring outdoor drainage, and much more. In some cases the professionals used to perform duties were Tier 1 employees, and in others, outside contractors of their selection. We have had good results with Tier 1, with jobs generally being completed on time and within budget, with high quality workmanship and materials.”

“I hired Craig Thompson (CSS-Tile) to do the following in my kitchen: Remove and replace existing laminate countertops with granite. Remove and replace existing tile backsplash with new tile backsplash. Install new sink and faucet. Enlarge the bar area. All the work was completely done beyond my expectations. Craig is a master at installing tile. His attention to detail was wonderful. He helped me in the selection of the tile, granite, sink and faucet. He was on-site when the granite was installed and made sure everything was done correctly. He built out the bar area with undermount supports that makes the bar seem to float with no obtrusive corbels. This was something I was unaware could be done and I know took longer to install than traditional supports. I'm grateful that he came up with that option. The project was completed on time and I'm extememly happy with the results.”
