New Line Remodeling LLC
Kitchen & Bath Designers in Ellicott City.
“I had searched for several years for the right contractor to redo my kitchen. I tried several contractors on smaller home improvement projects or handyman jobs but they all were either poor communicators, poor quality or too expensive. I found New Line Remodeling on a Maryland Contractors site and Carlos was at my home the next day to review my handyman projects. He asked excellent questions, quoted a fair price and finished the first job I gave him the next day. I was so pleased, I showed him my kitchen and hired him to replace the countertops and cabinets as well as install a new garbage disposal and a tile backsplash. He worked with me on each step of choosing cabinets, granite, sink, under cabinet lighting etc. His network of granite and cabinet people were excellent as well! His attention to detail was even higher than mine (and I am picky) and the end result was gorgeous, on budget and a total installation time of 6 DAYS from tear out to being able to use my new kitchen. He even rerouted the mess of pipes under the sink for a more functional space. I ALWAYS recommend New Line Remodeling for any job in my home or my friends' homes. I use them exclusively for any work I need done.”

“It was truly a pleasure to have Boss Design handle my kitchen remodel. Each member of the team was always available whenever I needed their expertise. They were also very clean and organized, cleaning after themselves every evening. None of my things were damaged during the renovations, and I am really pleased with how well things turned out.”
James L. Graves Construction
Kitchen & Bath Designers in Ellicott City.
“I suffered a catastrophic loss when a pipe in a 2nd floor bathroom in my house burst during a cold freeze. Two floor were ruined (luckily water does not run uphill, so the 3rd floor was spared). I hired James L. Graves Construction on the recommendation of neighbors...the husband and wife were both architects and had worked with the firm and thought highly of Mr. Graves and his company. Mr. Graves was my savior, guide and tutor during the multi-year undertaking to rebuild my 3 bedroom/2-1 bathroom home that won national awards when originally constructed in the late 1970's.
I knew nothing about construction (I do now), but with him by my side I learned what to look for, ask for and avoid. He and his employees and subcontractors walked me through the innumerable problems and decisions I had to make, but never rushed me and provided me all the pros and cons and cost options so that I could feel comfortable with the outcomes. When I explained I never wanted to deal with a ruptured pipe or be cold in the house again, Mr. Graves did research into foaming the entire house...the cost was high but the results have been amazing. When the city insisted that we had to install a fire suppression system (the city council had just passed an ordinance), Mr. Graves worked with the city for a year to figure out what they wanted and would approve (mine was the first house subject to the ordinance and the fire department apparently used us a learning opportunity, and, thankfully, Mr. Graves dealt with the frustration far better than I ever did).
Mr. Graves went with me to see city officials when I had questions about new city regulations impacting the restoration. He went with me to the architectural firm I hired to prepare plans for the restoration. He was an active participant in these meetings, raising issues I hadn't thought to ask and being there for me. We became a true team as we tackled the project of rebuilding my home.
I unintentionally created a few problems, but Mr. Graves never noticed. When I bought a refrigerator that was too deep for the kitchen, I suggested a solution...a bump-out in the exterior wall into which the refrigerator could be recessed...and Mr. Graves made it happen. When I bought the wrong exterior fixtures for the showers...the wouldn't work with the plumbing that had been put in...I received an education on plumbing (!) and then understood what I needed to buy, returned the wrong products and got the right ones. Easy!! When the powder room proved too small for a regular sink cabinet, Mr. Graves' on-site project manager (a fabulous person who I adopted him as a honorary member of my family!) built a custom cabinet that fit the space perfectly. When I came out one tile short for a backsplash for a bar area, Mr. Graves picked up the phone and asked and got from his supplier for that single tile. His associates love working with him and give him their full and immediate attention. Mr. Graves gave me that same quality attention, whether I called, texted or sent an email. He was always there. Always.
We set and adhered to a budget (I paid for some things that I wanted but had not included in the budget) and the finished house is what I envisioned when we began this effort. Staying within the footprint, it now is a 21st century modern structure...with spa-like bathrooms and a gorgeous kitchen...that was entirely rebuilt from the framing in. it is a new house wrapped in the old cedar bones...and it is ready to be entered into another competition. And in Mr. Graves I have found a friend, a professional mentor and, should I ever renovate another house, my next and only general contractor!”
Integrity Home Pro
Kitchen & Bath Designers in Ellicott City.
“We had a new roof put on our former home (2007) and Integrity not only explained their business and the options for shingles with respect, but did an excellent job doing the work. Their employees were extremely polite and cleaned up very well. When we bought our current home (2009), we asked them to do an inspection on its roof, and they told us honestly it was in fine shape and didn't need work. Because of their honesty, we recommended them to neighbors on both sides who have also hired them.
Additionally, we asked them to do our new windows in our current home right after we moved in. Again, they were extremely professional, clean, and honest.”
Hassle Free Home Improvements
Kitchen & Bath Designers in Ellicott City.
“The crew was on time every morning and worked at least part of every day during the period. Length of day depended on what materials had been delivered, whether there was wet paint or spackling that had to be allowed to dry, etc. Our contract called for the work to be done in seven weeks and it was done in six.
The final cost was very close to the original estimate and we were notified of any adjustments, plus or minus, when they occurred, so there were no surprises or sticker shock. For example, Steve suggested changing the original plan by moving the toilet to a better location, which would open the bathroom up much more and make it noticeably larger. It was a great idea, but there was a slight additional cost for plumbing and we were told this before the change was made and we approved it. By the same token, an original plan to build a new closet in the adjoining room was dropped and there was a corresponding reduction in the costs.
Mickey made two or three visits to our house to scope out possible plans for the new bathroom long before work began. He also spent an entire day with us visiting the various shops that sold the materials we needed, including counter tops, tile, and plumbing fixtures. He also ordered cabinets and other materials to our specifications.
The quality of the work was first rate and we are very happy with the new bathroom, closet and hallway. There were some minor fixes and touch ups that were needed in the days following completion of work, and someone was here promptly each day to complete them until we were satisfied.
The crew deserves special praise for their excellent work, terrific attitude, professionalism and friendliness. If you are going to have people working in your house for six weeks, these are the kind of guys you want doing the work. We became friends with all of them and will have them back for more work this year.
All in all, we could not be happier with Hassle Free Home Improvements and highly recommend the company.”
Virginia Kitchen & Bath
Kitchen & Bath Designers in Ellicott City.
“My husband and I hired Virginia Kitchen and Bath for our kitchen remodeling project after a long search for a reliable company. We did not hesitate to go with them after going over the details.
We started off by calling them to get an estimate. Their schedule was pretty busy (which is a good thing!) but managed to find us a perfect date and time. The designer that came out was very knowledgeable and nice. He was kind enough to propose his ideas while encouraging us with our own. He took some measurements and left. We received our estimate via email couple days after the initial meeting with a kind invitation to go to their showroom for selection making. The proposal seemed to fit our plan so we went by with great excitement. They have a very nice designed showroom with a wide range of tiles, granite, cabinets and etc. to choose from. They were very professional. They took a note of every selection we made. We finally sat down to go over our design and the contract. We didn't hesitate to sign and to give deposit. We were given a project start date not too far from signing of the contract.
The date of the construction, the crew and the project manager came at the time they promised. Project manager went over the changes with everyone. This made us feel extremely happy and comfortable! The crew started off by covering areas in the house for protection. They were very respectful of our property and belongings. They came and left at the same time every day. Project manager constantly stopped by whenever he could to check the progress on the site. We were able to contact our designer whenever we wanted to during their operating business hours. Construction debris was picked up everyday as well.
Project went pretty smooth overall and they were able to finish a day before they told us. They work on schedule and are very professional. We are extremely satisfied with the total outcome. Everything turned out to be much better than what we had expected. It was worth to spend every penny (even my husband thinks so).
We gladly recommened VKB and Kemal (our designer) to everyone. Our family and friends love our new kitchen. We will definitely be in touch with Virginia Kitchen and Bath for any upcoming projects.
Thank you VKB”

Charleene's Houses, LLC
Kitchen & Bath Designers in Ellicott City.
“Charleene gutted and re-did our 2500 sq. ft. Baltimore rowhome. She created an amazing contemporary space for our family within 6 months. Her first design was spot on and that told us she was right for the job. We highly recommend her for home rehab. She is truly the best there is in the area.”
Cabinet Discounters, Inc.
Kitchen & Bath Designers in Ellicott City.
“I love Cabinet Discounters! Every person we have interacted with, from Dana Kondisko who helped us design our dream kitchen, to the crew who executed our dream, were wonderful to work with and I highly recommend them!
Dana helped us to wade through all the choices and provided just the right amount of direction for myself and my husband. She was respectful of our budget and time and assisted us with a major renovation of our kitchen (it was a complete gut job).
The crew who did the work were great and always showed up on time, got along with my dogs (big deal for us!) and were great problem solvers for those crazy issues that always seem to surface with a major remodel like this. Their work was spot on and the attention to detail by Victor was very much appreciated!
We love our new kitchen and although a major kitchen remodel is always stressful, Cabinet Discounters helped us through it with a friendly, professional staff.”
My Kitchen And Bath
Kitchen & Bath Designers in Ellicott City.
“My Kitchen and Bath re-did my bathroom this year. I had such a great experience! Not only were they timely and professional during the estimate process, but they made me feel like I was more than just a checkbook!
I love this bathroom. It is a clean and simple, modern style which is exactly what I was looking for but couldn't explain to many people. John was wonderful to work with. First he listened to us carefully, then offered his own suggestions. He made the whole process easier by guiding us and directing us on the same token. Everything matches and looks great, and everything was finished on time.
I am so pleased. I recommend to all my friends. I hope many others share the great outcome that I have.”
