In today’s world where there are grave climate issues like pollution and global warming threatening our survival, I feel as a designer it is my responsibility to contribute in preserving the environment by practicing sustainability through design. It is very important to fulfill the purpose of adopting sustainability that has a balance of aesthetics and usability. My objective as a designer is to understand customers’ needs and provide effective application of design wITH A sustainable approach. I can measure my success by communicating with my client and create awareness of different sustainable practices. I believe that design is not just about the aesthetics but also a solution to environmental problems. We as designers have the power to enlighten and educate people through our design. My philosophy is to bring inspiration to reality , which will change people’s perspective from design as an art to design as a solution. This philosophy will achieved by promoting vernacularism and providing an innovative experience in the space that will be beneficial environmentally, economically and aesthetically.
