I first would like to start by commending TCH on their utmost honesty, high integrity, and professionalism through and through. After critically and extensively researching several other “custom home builders” in the DFW area, i can confidently say that none of them hold a candle next to Thoroughbred. Thoroughbred created a masterpiece of a home that far exceeded our already very high expectations. The quality and scale of our home is stellar- they do not take shortcuts. The materials thoroughbred used to construct the shell of our home, as their standard, typically would cost tens of thousands to upgrade to through other home builders. They truly are not bluffing when they say high quality is their standard, this company sets the bar extraordinarily high. Harris and Evan are exceptional construction managers. They both went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, to ensure to job site was clean each and every day, and most importantly that the jobs were being done right. They kept us informed at all times and made sure jobs were getting done on schedule day in and day out. They were very transparent about costs, and they made the process so easy with the BuilderTREND app. Unlike our experience with other large scale home builders, we were never once blind sided or price gouged when it came to choosing interior finishes. In fact, because of our experiences with other home builders in the area, i can also confidently say that thoroughbred has the most generous allowances when selecting finishes. As someone who is passionate about design- this is where it hit a home run for me. Gina, who leads the design aspect of construction was an absolute pleasure to work with! Gina has excellent taste, class, and vision. She helped guide me through to make the right choices, in addition to steering me away from what could be a bad choice by considering the dynamics of our life…(kids, dogs, etc.) She truly pulled everything together seamlessly without me ever feeling overwhelmed, and i never want to design another house without her!! All of this leads me to say that although Thoroughbred Custom Homes is a newer builder to the North Dallas area- they are exactly what this area has been missing. You can find a home builder just about anywhere in Dallas- but you won’t find a top of the line, best of the best builder like Thoroughbred.”

“Tom and Scott built this great house for us about 8 years ago. They were involved from design and of course through construction. With over 7000 sq ft, we had lots of questions and challenges for first time we had a house built. They were terrific and we felt that we got a good value and great advice throughout, plus quality construction. Important too was that they stood by their work and do so even today. I know that if I had a problem with this house that was even remotely related to construction that one quick phone call would bring them back and they would take care of it. We did have a problem several years after construction and they fixed it at no cost to us. We have also had some remodeling done by them and they are great. I would be happy to recommend them to anyone. I would attach a picture to this, but do not see a way to do that.”

“We bought our house (Burkett) from Mike in 2008 and although we knew at the time that the home was well constructed we have truly appreciated that quality ever since. There are so many details that are present in the home from architectural to hardware choices that truly make it unique and special. If my wife and I were to build another home Mike would be the first person we would call. This year we needed to make some changes to the use of our home which required us to build out the attic space. It looked very complicated and I wasn't quite sure how to make it happen. I called Mike who came by with an Architect and looked at the space. After several meetings and an estimate we started the project and everything went exactly as planned. “After interviewing in depth 8 custom builders and checking with 4-10 previous customers of each of the builders, we picked Joseph Paul Homes. We got glowing comments back from the 10 previous clients of theirs, but, for us, what sealed the deal was that Joe Vastano from the very beginning really got our vision and really, really listened. He didn't just paraphrase back what we said, but, instead, used it as a stepping board to understand more by asking questions and by suggesting possible improvements on our ideas. We went to Joe with a collection of room ideas and a general sense of how we wanted the pieces of the house to come together. After many sessions in which the design kept getting better and better, we finally signed off on everything. We are almost done with the building. While we had certain expectations about the house, we have been continually blown away by how much prettier it proved to be, mainly through the collaborative process of the four of us (Joe, my wife and I and Joe's on-site project manager David). Our neighbors love our house too, which makes feel good. This is our first and (given our age probably last) full custom house. Let me warn you here and now that, having lived through it and having spoken to a couple of dozen people who did as well, building a full custom house is as incredibly stressful as the result, hopefully, is well worth it. While I've long lost count of the sleepless nights of worry about this or that, I have David to keep me sane. I tell everyone that David is "my number 1 destresser". We email or call or talk to him 4-6 times every day. Usually, after talking to David, I realize my worries about some feature were misplaced and the current design is already the best. Still, many times we have found things we want to change and David always has creative ways of helping us figure out how best to implement the change. If we lived a thousand lifetimes and Joe and David would live them with us, we'd pick them again every time. (You would not believe some of the horror stories I have heard from people who made the wrong choice when picking a builder.)”
