“Alex and Blake finished our basement to a high spec for a spa and gym area as well as remedial exterior work to our guest cottage. They managed all aspects of the project with creative solutions and to exacting standards of themselves as well as their chosen sub contractors. Cannot recommend them enough!”

“This was our first time building a house and we were a bit apprehensive of how stressful and difficult the process would be. Nate and his team were fantastic! We were included as much as we wanted to be, adjustments and design changes were welcome, the entire project was well organized, and any issues or concerns that we had were addressed quickly. Everyone that we worked with was friendly and I've found Nate to be extremely fair in each of the situations that we worked together. We worked primiarily with Jamie and he was excellent at communicating what was going, worked quickly to resolve any problems, and was always friendly, professional and approachable. Even after closing, communication has been easy and open. We love our new home and we're very comfortable with it. If we were ever to build another house, I'd build with Nate and Jamie without a single concern. It was a great experience!”

“Red House was our GC for an eight month gut renovation of an 1840's farmhouse. They were fantastic to work with from the first call to their office thru the finishing touches just after we moved in. They provided ideas and consulted throughout the design process, sharing options for needed products, vendor and retail suggestions. As some items inevitably changed during construction they were understanding and willing to adjust. They ran a very neat construction site and kept the project on time. Chris Quinn oversaw the project from a business/planning perspective, David Matesi was point person on site (and a talented blacksmith!) and worked with Dave, Nate & Arna - a great team all around.”

“Gordon Dixon Construction did an amazing job building a home for us in Stowe, VT. The building experience was very enjoyable and remained on time and within budget. The effort put forth to keep the project moving in an organized and timely manner helped us as the homeowner keep on track with decisions and budget. Their guidance and attention to detail during the process were exceptional and truly evident in the quality and craftsmanship of the home. The carpenters were outstanding and were able to create exactly what we were looking for. “After we bought a house in Stowe Vermont in 2011 we hired Patterson and Smith to do extensive renovations for our home, knowing that they had originally built the home in 2000. We extended the house to provide for a new entry and mudroom, and expanded and completely remodeled the master bath. The work was all completed with excellent workmanship, in a timely fashion, and within our allotted budget. Shap Smith was a pleasure to work with, expecially considering our permenant home is St. Thomas, VI, so we could not be present during the construction period. We got updates and pictures regularly, and when we arrived back in Stowe for Christmas everything was complete, working, and clean!”

“Beacon Hill Builders work is excellent and beautiful. And they are fun to work with. I had the pleasure of photographing two of their unique homes in the past three years. One was a complex circular three story design, where curves that are difficult to build were executed to perfection. Both houses have been published in national magazines. I was given all the time and help that I needed, and allowed to suggest views to them. They are very flexible and easy to work with. You will totally enjoy your experience with Beacon Hill Builders”

“We hired Blackrock Construction to build our new family home because of Mark our General Contractor. We looked at bids from a few different contractors, and contemplated on buying a cookie cutter house in a neighborhood. Luckily and VERY happy we made the right choice!! We picked Mark because he seemed very thorough, honest and professional, and have been extremely pleased with the results. Mark came up with lots of creative ways to make our home look exactly like we wanted it. He is very excellent at remembering and paying attention to minor details. In particular, we wanted a little rustic/west coast mountain feel. Mark surprised us with a personalized 100 year old door converted wash/vessel sink for our powder room. He also built us a beautiful wood bench, along with a very rustic fire place mantle which really brings out the decor. With any new construction, there are minor hiccups, however Mark made this a smooth experience for us. Mark's crew was highly professional, friendly and a pleasure to work with. He was very proactive in working us as the house designer, the engineer and the inspectors, and made sure that the work stayed on schedule, weather permitting in Vermont. We would hire Mark and BlackRock again without hesitation.”

“Birdseye has been amazing from start to finish. The project began 2.5 years ago, we were living in London and building in Vermont, we wanted a Vermont Architectural Firm and discovered Birdseye. We had a basic concept of a 'Modern Barn' they brought the concept to life brilliantly. It was an amazingly collaborative process, dozens of decisions throughout the building phase. They were respectful and accommodating when we felt strongly about something but we could also count on them to give their professional perspective if they disagreed. The project is now complete, I would recommend Birdseye without hesitation. This is not the only amazing house they have designed but you really sensed their professional pride and excitement in what they do. Also, they are really super people to work with and we enjoyed the engagement in every step of the process. The second best decision we made was to contract with their construction side of the business, equally as amazing!”
