““I’ve had the pleasure of working with George and Gretchen on numerous new construction builds and larger remodels. As a flooring subcontractor for several builders, I can say that George and Gretchen’s attention to detail is impressive. They question everything to help insure that the quality and final results they deliver to their clients is Top Notch and what was promised. As with any construction related business, issues always arise, but the professional manner to which they address and handle those issues is also impressive and I’ve worked with a lot of builders. “Building a custom home can be quite overwhelming...so we were told! Decisions are endless and opinions change through the process. Our experience of building our first custom home was SO much better than what we had anticipated based on the horror stories you often hear of! Genuine Custom Homes was with us each and every step of the way and Karl was amazing to work with!!! His organization skills speak volumes for themselves. We were constantly kept in the loop of what the current status was and what we could expect to come and it was so nice to know that we had someone supervising our project who cared about our home just as much as we did! Karl was always in contact with us and set up appointments for us with his chosen professionals who already knew about our style before we even arrived to meet with them to discuss specifics. We were involved in the entire process and when we were not immediately available we had the confidence that Karl knew our goals and style well enough to make things happen as we would have them. We would absolutely recommend a Genuine Custom Home to our friends and family-- we have now been in our home for six months and from the date of move in we have not been disappointed! On top of that...Karl has been in contact occasionally to check in with us which is nice...it's not often you get taken care of after the completion of your project (sale)!”

So happy that we've already teamed up with them again for our next project. They truly embody a team effort and mentality that strengthens the architect-contractor relationship. This project was new construction restrained by a dramatic site as the house sat at the edge of a bluff overlooking the lake. Our team fought for every inch of the footprint to provide a fully programmed house, and throughout the process, Blue Horse Building offered tactful suggestions that met our design aesthetic. With our teams' collaboration, the result was a polished, budget-conscience house that fulfilled our clients' wishes. We look forward to the next project with Blue Horse.”

“My wife and I recently had the opportunity to add an outdoor living area to our house of 19 years. On the recommendation from a friend in the building trades, we hired Bryant Boyd to design and provide build to spec drawings. He and his staff were very easy to work with throughout the entire process. When it came time to solicit bids, we included Bryant Boyd along with two other well known and highly recommended builders. He was the only one who arrived with every one of the associated building trades and he was the lowest bidder. AND not only was everything completed ahead schedule but to my surprise, when all of the incremental billings came in, it was under cost. Throughout the construction process, Bryant and or the project supervisor came by each day (sometimes more than once a day) to make sure every process was running smoothly. The final product has been described as something out of a magazine and we owe it all to Bryant and his staff. A photo should be available on J. Bryant Boyd's web site and on his profile. We felt so strongly about the final results that we posted a sign on our front lawn and invited everyone to drop by on 7 Oct to see first hand the final product. If you would like to see the completed outdoor living area, you need only to arrange through a member of Mr. Boyd's staff; we would be more than happy to show off the results of Bryant's design and build team. I was recently contacted by someone considering retaining the services of Mr. Boyd. After giving my thoughts to the perspective client, I realized I had never taken the time to post a review.”

“The Katz Builders team is very professional. We have worked on dozens of projects together over a span of over 25 years (my firm draws the plans and Katz does the construction) and every one of my clients who has used Katz for the construction project has been very pleased with quality, professionalism and service. The level of personal attention and care they provide is unparalleled. In one remodel, for instance, they painstakingly removed the original wood casing from doors and reinstalled it after the remodel was finished. Their tile installer did my own floors and I was extremely impressed with how carefully he and his lead installer planned the layout to make sure that the tile was centered on several different axes as well as ensuring no small slivers of tile at edges and other subtle things I would never have noticed had they done it incorrectly. If something "doesn't seem right" about plans we have provided, the Katz team always call to make sure they get it right rather than "winging it" in the field risking misinterpretation of our intent. They have used many of the same sub-contractors the entire time I have known them which means to me that they have loyal sub-contractors and you will get consistent and high quality results from them. And, once again, I want to mention that in all these years I have not once had a homeowner come back to me and complain about them as their builder. That is very rare in this business.”
