“Preferred Building did a great job repairing damage done to our house by tenants and preparing it for sale. This involved matching wood, stain and construction methods to the conditions of our unusual home in Chapel Hill. Michael Tyrell is a very bright, organized individual experienced in house renovations and repairs. He is also a very personable young man. In addition to doing everything we asked, he had some great ideas for making the house show better when we sold it. He and his workmen took off their shoes on entering the house and treated it and us with great care. We were very very happy with his work”

“Claudio Hortoneda, owner of B & S Home Improvement in Durham, NC is a gem! We have had him do two major jobs for us so far - the first involved drywalling over all of our ceilings after the "popcorn" texture had been scraped off, and the second involved a major remodel of our kitchen and two bathrooms, including moving walls, installing windows and a large quantity of tiling. Claudio has excellent subcontractors for the elements of the project that he does not do (e.g. the plumbing) but maintains a level of responsibility and care for the house that encompasses the entire project. He is very easy to communicate with, very reliable, and does excellent quality work. In addition to all of this, his prices are very competitive! I have already recommended him to three friends, two of whom have had him do work on their homes, and they were delighted with the results as well as the entire process. Strongly recommended!”

“Mr. Klein has completed several projects at my house, all to my complete satisfaction. He traced and fixed a roof leak over my bonus room which had eluded the professional employed by the previous owners, then repaired and painted the damaged interior ceiling and wall. When I had settling cracks appear in my 14 year old property, he traced the problem to the absence of a footing which should have been installed during construction. He installed the necessary footing, working in a four foot high crawl space to do it, then repaired the cosmetic damage in the house. He also repaired some water-damaged sub-floor in preparation for installing new carpet. I have found Mr. Klein to be smart, honest, reliable and very reasonably priced. The project cost below is for the installation of the footing and cosmetic repairs only.”
