“Roger and his team worked closely with my husband and me to create the home of our dreams. I had a vision for many years and they listened carefuly, made realistic and valuable suggestions, and drew my dream better than I could have dreamed it. The design for our lake waterfront lot was a happy blend of my desire for sleek, modern with the HOAs idea of contemporary. We fit in nicely with the neighborhood, but have sleek linear shapes and smooth textures. We were building on a very difficult lake front lot with extremely steep terrain and natural gulleys that held standing water. Roger and his team worked with engineers to make sure we lived "on the water, not in the water", creating a design that allowed the graders to push the natural running water around the house and down the hill rather than into the house. This gave us the wonderful opportunity to have access bridges rather than sidewalks - a unique and very eye pleasing addition. Throughout the design they kept true to my vision while helping us add the features necessary to age in place. It is a beautiful design and we will live here forever. Roger Layman Architecture made the experience enjoyable and low stress. We would recommend this team to anyone who wants to build heir dream home.”

“Mr. Dunsmore was very instrumental in the design and build of our home in Baldwinsville, NY. We decided to have Dave draw up the plans to build our dream home after talking to many professionals. We gave Dave a list of our ideas, a basic plan we found on the internet and he put together a set of plans that that went above and beyond anything we dreamed of. “Rod is an amazing architect. He has the ability to turn discussions into dream plans. Rod started designing our home about 15 months ago. He has been involved with the design and implementation of this plan. I not only would state Rod is a great architect, but also a very honest and trustworthy person. We will move into our dream home within a few months and can't praise Rod enough for the amazing design and constant communication. “Mr. Long took an old 1830s bank barn and made it into our home. The result is a 3,500 sq ft home that overlooks Seneca Lake in the New York State Finger Lakes region. Dan used many windows in his plan and almost every room has a view of the lake. Dan is an innovative and dynamic architect. He has a very wonderful personal style that brought our needs and desires to the forefront in his architectural plans. One could not help to notice that he is very versed in the latest building methods and materials. He does very well with cost estimates and worked with with us to provide varied courses of action so we might be better informed as to our options. Overall, our observation is that Dan Long is a true professional who treats each client and project as special no matter how big or small the job. I highly recommend Dan Long to any prospective client.”
