Professional Information

Senthil is the principal architect of Poetics which has been recognized as one of the ‘Top Ten Young practices’ in Karnataka, India by IIA (Indian Institute of Architects) in 2016. In September 2017, he has presented a research paper on “Permaculture and Children of the City” at UIA congress in Seoul. Senthil is an alumnus of ‘Glenn Murcutt International Master Class’, a design-studio program in Australia, conducted by Pritzker Prize awarded Architect Glenn Murcutt. He also participated in ‘BASEhabitat International Summer School’ on Modern Earthen Architecture and Bamboo Constructions, conducted by University of Art and Design in Linz, Austria. Before starting his own practice in 2005, he has worked with India’s Master architects, Sanjay Mohe and Christopher Charles Benninger. His design works focus on land, people and their environment and aim to create harmony among them. Senthil is also an artist and exhibited various art installation works in private galleries and public spaces.

This was our first own home. Senthil listened to all our ideas and translated them into the product. We wanted home with lot of air flow, light, some green area and space to move around; all in a 30x40 site. To our satisfaction, all of it was met. We also built an innovative terrace garden. The another idea that got materialized is pillarless cantilever design at ground floor in car parking area. He was also closely quality analyzing the construction for perfection and there were lot of incidents where correction on construction during execution happened to make sure the product is perfect. He is not just architect of structure, he owns the completed product including interiors, garden design, construction quality and everything a home need. Overall we are very happy on design, architecture, construction and interior designs. I strongly recommend his service for anything related to building/constructions/architecture.
