We were first introduced to Zach through our hardscape contractor, who sought Zach’s advice for a few minor exterior home modifications we needed to make in connection with a major outdoor concrete project. Before starting my total home remodel, I spoke with a number of people who were either still remodeling or had completed their remodel. Based on their feedback, I decided Meschi Construction was who I wanted to do my remodel. When I first contacted them, I was told it would be several months before they could start. Not a problem, as I was determined to enlist their services. Two years later, I must admit delaying my remodel until Meschi Construction was available, was a great decision! They were worth the wait. Since I had a Golden Retriever and two cats, moving out of my house during the remodel was not an option. Plastic walls with zippers were put in place to divide the construction zone from my living space. Zach provided me with weekly and sometimes daily schedule updates, what to expect, who would be coming and when they would arrive. The construction site was kept very clean and I was able to maintained my privacy. Based on my experience, a few of Zach's strengths are, but not limited to are: Communications: while I realized I was not his only customer, the quick responses to my texts and emails made me feel as if I was. The responses were professional, detailed and informative. We had regular meetings, sometimes just the two of us, other times the designers were invited. The purpose of these meetings were to ensure everyone was on the same page, aware of the schedule and any issues encountered unexpectedly and if necessary, problem solve. Standards: I have been told I am a perfectionist. Zach's standards did not fail to meet my expectations. There were times Zach took care of an issue before I had a chance to text him. His attention to detail is superb. On more than one occasion, subcontractors told me they had already met with Zach because they knew I would not be happy with something. Impressive!! Subcontractors: The subcontractors were professional, courteous, measured up to Zach's high standards and had a desire to produce quality work. I could tell they took pride in their work. It was great having a single point of contact, given the number of contractors used for my project. I feel fortunate to have engaged such a professional team. I love my new smart house. I would use them again, should I do another remodel.

Meschi construction has done three projects at our home over the last three years. We have found them to be knowledgeable, professional, thorough and respectful of our home. And those traits carried through to their workers as well as the different subcontractors they used on our projects. At the end of every workday all materials and tools were neatly arranged out of the way, and the worksite was left clean and orderly. This is especially important since all of the work was done while we were living in our home. On each of our projects we established a budget at the beginning of the project. Throughout the course of the project any changes to budget were clearly explained and agreed upon prior to the additional work being done. Communication during the course of the project was excellent. People showed up when they were supposed to and on time. And, if there was a schedule change or problem we were notified in advance rather than after the fact. We were especially happy with the way invoicing was done. Every invoice contained full details as well as copies of supplier and subcontractor invoices to Meschi construction. Construction can be a delightful process or a nightmare. Meschi construction is the rare delight in a complicated profession. I bought the proverbial worst house in a great neighborhood. It was run down and never maintained. Zach and his amazing crew and subcontractors gutted the kitchen and master bathroom to the studs, lifted the house and replaced foundation beams, removed a rotten deck, and took out walls that were load bearing to leave me with a beautiful open concept living that far exceeded my expectations. Over the course of construction, I learned to trust Zach's opinion and often ask him for his feedback.
