Wight's Deck + Design

Crew took care of our yard maintenance for many years. Always very responsive and great to work with. Work was very good.

Thadd and his crew came and did a complete rebuild and update of my deck, including completely redoing the shape while using most of the existing structure, rebuilding the stairs, adding accent lights with dimmers, accenting with picture framing, and replacing the railing. The workmanship was excellent, and they did a good job of proactively reaching out to me for important decisions. Thadd had good design ideas and helped guide us when we weren't sure what would look best. We added a few things as we went (accent lights, dimmers, picture framing, stair riser layout), and he was reasonable and professional when working out details of the final invoice. He was consistently responsive and helpful via email. Highly recommended.

I found Thadd to be a voice of reason on a rather confrontational message board about composite deck recommendations. I was considering a number of options and I reached out to Thadd via email for advice. I was building my deck three thousand miles away along the coast of Maine. I thought it a long shot that Thadd would reply to my many questions as there was no business opportunities in doing so. But in fact, he was very gracious and generous in sharing very valuable advice drawing upon his considerable skills and many years of experience in designing and installing quality decking. His work speaks for itself. Had he been local, I would have very much welcomed the opportunity to work with Thadd.

Thadd and his brothers did a fantastic job on my new Azek deck. I knew nothing about the new material and Thadd explained it all in detail so that I could feel comfortable spending a small fortune on a new deck. It looks incredible and it was perfectly installed. It took a while to get on the books for installation, but it was well worth the wait. Any small problems that I had, Thadd and his brothers were quick to fix. They were here every day until the deck was done. I am VERY PLEASED!

We hired Wight's to build a new deck. Thadd worked with us on such a nice, expansive design that we absolutely LOVED. He also did all the front-work with the city regarding permits, code, etc.. He kept us updated and in the know all the way through the process! It was very nice to see this high level of commitment and dedication! While the plan fell through due to numerous unforeseen circumstances (all of them on our side), Thadd was incredibly professional, attentive to all our needs, and extremely accommodating to all requests. I highly recommend Wight's and will be calling again once we're able to get moving on our project again!

Thad and his team did our 2nd story deck and we are very pleased with their work. We used Azek for the decking which we were concerned about initially and Thadd worked with us to find the right colour for us and our home. We requested some changes to the plan as the project moved along and Thadd was able to accommodate these requests. We love our new deck - especially the lights that we added - and happily recommend Thadd and his team.
