Walt Haines was a pleasure to work with. I will definitely use him again! Walt totally redid an existing terrace and balustrade and built a garbage enclosure. We live in a 1917 house that is historically designated, and all construction work must be pre-approved and carefully executed. Walt is a detail person and executed perfectly, within budget and in a timely manner. You get the true measure of a contractor by how he deals with problems. Walt proved excellent at this. First, he spent a great deal of time on site and in the subcontractors' workshops ensuring that problems did not arise. Second, when problems did crop up, as they always do, Walt was both firm and respectful with his subs in resolving them. He also was excellent about communicating with me so that I always knew what was happening and why. Because Walt is respectful and fair, his subs are happy to push jobs through for him and are quick to resolve any mistakes they make. He sets the tone for the job site and it was a pleasure having him and his subs around. This is so often not the case! I recommend Walt enthusiastically! I will definitely use him for projects in the future.

We had an old front porch removed and a new one built. We also had water coming in thru the basement ceiling due to the old front porch becoming detached from the front of the house. Walt's crew removed the old porch and sealed the wall against the house before having the new porch built. He also ripped up the old sidewalk and reconfigured the walkway. All workers were on time,polite and always cleaned the work area up at the end of the day. Each day Walt was on site to over see the work. He was constantly in touch with me regarding the work if I had any concerns etc.. We were extremely pleased with the work and his professionalism!

I have worked for Walt on many remodeling projects an can say that he has a sincere interest in having things done in the right way. He's the type of contractor you hope to get when you hire one.
