Unique Home Design & Remodeling

Our remodel with Unique Home Design was completed faster than any of our wildest expectations. We were not thinking we would be done in time to celebrate the holidays in our new kitchen, but we were! And the family used the newly expanded space in exactly the way we had hoped; gathering around the huge new island to share photos and working on projects while we prepped for dinner at the stove, without that claustrophobic wall we had keeping the cooks from sharing in the fun! Steve, Luis and his team were responsive and moved the project along quickly. When you work with Unique the responsibility for the project speed is shared with the owners. We were responsible to have all our purchased items stored on-site ready to install at a moment’s notice. This included the appliances, new glass door, light fixtures and switches, tiles, grout, door hardware, etc. Owners contracting with Unique should be vigilant communicators, and have plenty of time during the day to run last minute errands to the hardware store and suppliers. My only disappointments are on the Design side with the cabinets. The magic corner shelf (installed next to the stove) does not open fully because the designer did not take into account that the stove sits out a few inches beyond the face of the base cabinet and doesn’t have clear space to open, meaning that the corner space access is limited and not completely accessible. A real disappointment, cutting down storage significantly. The design work for Unique needs to step up and get more on top of the details, and/or the clients need to be vigilant, asking questions and double checking the work before the cabinet order is placed. It helps to be a client familiar with cabinets and hardware. We have had a few minor issues where Luis has had to come back, but again, Steve, Luis and his team have been very responsive and taken care of the minor adjustments quickly for us. Over all we are very, very happy with the work and absolutely pleased with our new space. It is like getting a completely new house and feels so much better to live there! Thanks!

We remodeled our upstairs master bathroom with Unique Home Design (UHD) during September-October, 2022. We were very pleased with the overall experience and the result. We hired UHD because Steve inspired confidence in us when we first met with him to discuss the project. Although a couple of other contracting companies also impressed us with their knowledge during the bidding process, none could outperform Steve, so we selected UHD and were not disappointed once the work began. Steve was very responsive throughout the project, and checked in regularly with us and his work team. He was very customer-service oriented, and we appreciated his attentiveness, guidance and collaboration. Diego was the project foreman and impressed us with his skill and experience. He was always very friendly, respectful, and professional. He was also very collaborative, willingly answering our questions and patiently revisiting options with us and making sound recommendations based on his experience. He made considerable effort to ensure that things were done exactly as we wanted. Rueben did a great job with the tilework; he carefully thought through the tile cutting and design options and discussed them with us. Although a few mistakes were made over the course of the project, these were quickly addressed and resolved. We would recommend Unique, and will be beginning another project with them soon. Our kitchen remodel will begin in the New Year.

Steve and his crew did a superb job with our bathroom remodel. We think it turned out great and we enjoy using it everyday. The crew was very resourceful when we had issues with installation. And I can't say enough about how friendly and polite the team was. They even provided free follow-ups months after we completed the project.

In late 2020, my husband and I hired Unique Home Design and could not have made a better choice. Our project included the remodeling of two bathrooms and some additional electrical and lighting upgrades. We considered over half a dozen companies for this job, but decided to go with Unique because of their superb customer service, even though their bid was somewhat high. We had a very positive experience. Our project manager Steve was on top of the work at all times: he visited often and effectively coordinated teams, resources and inspections. Everybody who worked on site was punctual and professional. Communication with everyone involved was via text which was quick and effective. Diego’s team worked fast and efficiently. Every aspect of the work was completed on time and to our satisfaction. Throughout the length of the project, Steve and Diego diligently addressed all our concerns. Every issue that arose was quickly solved, thanks to Diego’s creativity and immense experience. We were especially impressed with Diego’s and Rueben’s craftsmanship and attention to details. As a result, both bathrooms turned out stylish, beautiful, and very comfortable. Also worth noting is that the team made an effort to protect our floors and furniture and to minimize dust in the house during construction by using tarps and walls of plastic and cleaning up diligently at the end of each day. We are very happy with the outcome and glad that we chose Unique Home Design for the job. We would definitely recommend Unique to any homeowner who cares about quality of the final result.

I needed to completely remodel my basement and after I received quotes from several contractors I decided to go with Unique Home Design & Remodeling. Steve and his crew shoved up on time, they were honest, professional and communicative. The project was finished quick and before scheduled date but with no mistakes and at highest level of quality. Very trustworthy contractor! We went with Unique Home Design & Remodeling for a big project- build an addition. We also considered some other contractors but we just liked wow Ofir from Unique Design answered our questions and how he understood what we wanted. Although it was a big and complicated project it went pretty smooth and was finished on time. I especially liked how they left our house perfectly clean. I decided to remodel my big old basement. And I had some special requests. I wanted to convert half of my basement in personal gym. Steve from Unique Home Design understood what I needed and gave me great offer so I decided to go with this contractor. During the project Steve was amazing, always available for help or to resolve unexpected issues. The project was finished quick, on time and within agreed price. I got exactly what I wanted and I am very happy with new basement. Excellent contractor!!
