New Home Construction $134,000 We signed a contract with Bill Ladson of Walter Family Homes in May 2018 and did the closing with 1st Signature Lending in August 2018 for a 1080 sq ft home on our land. They failed every phase of construction at least once. The subcontractors were inexperienced and unsupervised at all times. There was never a construction supervisor on site. The only time the construction supervisor came out was when we called him because something had failed inspection. My husband was literally at the construction site every week monitoring the work. The county inspectors were fed up with the poor workmanship of this company. The crew only worked part time on our property and at times no one showed up to work for weeks. Communication was poor and would not show up as promised. We started withholding funds and that’s when things got done. Very disappointed with this contractor. Will never recommend them to anyone. Took over a year to complete a 1000sq ft home.

Life is too short for this shoddy behavior from Walter Family Homes. They build homes in FL and GA. We signed a contract with them in 5-18. Now its 2-20 and the home is still not built. Their subcontractors call me because they are not being paid by WFH and I have at least 2 liens on my property. I am paying out of pocket to have the home finished as specified in the contract. I believe they are operating a Ponzi type scheme. Run far away from Bill and Roger as you can because you will most likely regret hiring them.
