About Us

Shayna is a graduate of California State University, Chico with a BFA in Interior Design and a minor is Studio Art. After spending a couple of years focusing solely on interior design, she decided to expand to landscaping and apply her skills to creating beautiful outdoor environments for her clients. In 2017, Shayna founded Visionary Design Services and began innovating new ways of communicating designs to clients, HOA boards, and contractors alike. What We Do: Visionary Design Services works with you to plan and design your landscape or interior project. With our design services, we are able to spend more time planning out your project while working within your budget. Our goal is to help you visualize your project before it is constructed. Shayna with Visionary Design Services is truly a master in her field. My wife and I were looking for a landscape designer who is familiar with HOA requirements/guidelines to design our backyard. We found her on Houzz and through a flyer she distributed in our neighborhood. We decided to further look into her services because her Houzz portfolio was in line with what we were looking for, her testimonials were all very positive, she offered cost-reduction recommendations, and has a contractor she works with. Every interaction we had with Shayna, from the introductory phone call, in-person and Zoom meetings, all the way through the delivery of the final draft of our backyard design was smooth. She is personable, easygoing yet straightforward, transparent, flexible, responsive, punctual, and extremely talented. And we actually received word from our HOA today that her design in its entirety was approved! We wholeheartedly recommend Shayna with Visionary Design Services for all of your landscaping design needs. Thank you, Shayna!

We considered several landscape designers before deciding on Shayna of Visionary Design Services. We chose Shayna because we were impressed with her project designs on her website. She listened carefully to our ideas and priorities and was able to include all of them in the preliminary drawing. The final drawing only needed minor revisions. Shayna welcomes any questions, comments, and design changes during the design process. It is easy to contact her by email or phone and she responds within a reasonable amount of time. The 3D package is amazing. It feels like you are actually walking through the landscape design. It helps in the design process because you are able to visualize things that you would not in 2D. It was a pleasure working with Shayna. We are very pleased with her design and look forward to having it installed soon.

We love Shayna's design for our backyard. She was able to take the idea that we had for our backyard and recreated it perfectly and even better than we could ever think of. She considered everything we mentioned in our meetings, she is a good listener. She was on time for every appointment and delivered her work timely. The quality of her work is impeccable, she gave us three printed drawings that we were able to use with our HOA, they were impressed with the beauty of her design. We are very happy with her work. For sure will hire her again for our Front Yard design.

Shayna was a pleasure to work with. She was able to give us a quote in a reasonable time frame and spent a lot of time understanding our wants for both our front and backyard, while trying to stay in our budget. She delivered the first draft of our 3D design within a couple of weeks and she had many creative and functional ideas for our space. I love how she breaks up the project into steps to work with priority/budget. She was very professional, nice, and didn't make you feel rushed during her consultations. I would definitely recommend Shayna to anyone who is looking to redesign their yard and get creative ideas.

We had been looking for a landscape designer for some time when we came across Visionary Design Services. We wanted a yard that would draw us out to “sit a spell”, have breakfast, enjoy an evening beverage, the sunshine, and our mountain views, but we lacked the knowledge to put that together. That’s where Shayna shines. Shayna walked the property with us, taking notes, and offering ideas of plants trees, seating areas, walkways, and filling sparse, and empty spaces. During the design process, we later thought of a few things we wanted to add to our design, and we reached out to Shayna for her opinion. She was very patient and offered some great advice. When we met the second time to review what she had envisioned for our home, everything was just what we hoped for. She presented a design which incorporated things we spoke of at our meeting, including the ideas we thought of later. She also added a walkway so we could stroll through the yard enjoying all the beautiful plants and trees she planned.
